Shia, please add a description (and genre) to your Topic header. That will help other members. If you're on the desktop site, click "Edit" near the top beside your Topic.

Aerulan | 1317 comments You haven't done anything wrong, and you don't need to delete anything she's just trying help get your book solved by getting some more info from you.

By genre she means is it a romance, a coming-of-age novel, something else? Was this written for teens/young adults or for grown-ups?
And here's another question from me. What does "a long time ago" mean to you? There are all ages in this group and someone in their 70s is going to define "a long time ago" very differently from someone who is 16. Knowing when you read it (even just approximately) lets us know how old the book probably is and rules out more recent books.

And if you give some clues in the thread title (where you have written "Help!!") anyone browsing the forum lists will see them without having to click through to your thread. Lots of people only look at the threads for the types of books they read so the person who only reads Scifi won't bother to check the thread looking for chick-lit or memoirs or whatever.

If you give some details from the book that are easy to recognize, like "Romance -girl at party gets massage from monkey mascot" or whatever fits, if someone who has read the book is looking at the thread title in the forum list, they'll recognize it by that info and come in to tell you the name.

Shia | 5 comments Believe me if i knew more about the book i would post it. I read it one time like 13 yrs ago. It may have been romance but i dont know. The library i checked it out at didnt keep a record of past books. All i can remember is this one scene because it was funny

Trixie | 93 comments Hey Shia...you don't need more information than you have, you just need to put it in the headline. So, instead of putting "Help!" you could say "Girl gets message from monkey mascot." Just saying "help" is a problem because even if someone knows the answer, they may not click on such a nonspecific post.

Shia ~~
You can "bump" your thread every month or so. This pushes your thread back to the top of the folder instead of languishing here on page 71 where far fewer eyes will see it.
You can do this by typing a new comment at the end of the thread, or even by typing the word "bump."
Good luck!
