Sarah | 18550 comments Last day for vote and we're neck and neck at the moment for the winning spot. So head on over if you haven't already voted on what theme you'd like for January.

Kristie | 19227 comments I didn't want to muck up the nominations thread, so I thought I'd ask my question about qualifying books for the unique / unusual word in a title theme here. I have these books on my TBR that I think will fit the theme. Do any of these fit (or not fit)? Just want to make sure I'm thinking on the right track. Thank you!

Bitterblue
Grimspace
Wallbanger
Ashfall
Carpe DiEmily
Starfire Angels
Arcadia
Robopocolypse
The Xibalba Murders
The Mask of Anubis
Necropolis
Damselfly
The Rithmatist
Fablehaven
Neverhome
Strega
Libriomancer

Janice (jamasc) | 60012 comments They all look unusual to me. I would suggest picking one, explain why you think it fits the theme, and you should be fine.

Sarah | 18550 comments I agree. I had to laugh at Damselfly though- that word is used daily on my boat during the summer. they are everywhere! Very pretty too. I guess the theme is a little subjective.

Kristie | 19227 comments Oh really, Sarah? That's so funny! I thought it was a made up word. lol I'm going to have to google it now, since I have no idea what they are. :)

Thank you, ladies. I think I'm just overthinking this one. I will pick one off the list.

Kristie | 19227 comments Sarah - Damselflies look like what we call dragonflies.

message 8: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments I used to call them dragonflies too but then once i got my wildlife book out i saw they weren't actually dragonflies, but in that family. They are much smaller than the usual dragonflies. I think we spotted every version of them here during the summer.

message 9: by Kristie, Moderator (new)

Kristie | 19227 comments I don't know if we have them here or not. I know we have dragonflies. Though, I may be confusing the damselflies and calling them dragonflies too just because that's what I've always heard them called. I don't see them that often, but I'll have to pay more attention next time.
