Mindy Jones (mindyrecycles) I got about 50 pages of Agent 6 read yesterday morning before the kids arrived and the festivities began. Had a fabulous time then flopped into bed at the end of the day without having read another word. Today's goals: finish A6 and start Balzac!

ok that puts my mind at rest haha! Thanks Beth! Just let me know how soon you want to start the buddy read on it, I'm up for anytime. Wont make any promises as to how quickly I will read it though since my work is going into overtime and my dad just back from hospital.

message 53: by Cindy (new)

Cindy | 384 comments So far I have read 5 chapters of The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus. Now that the Christmas rush is over, I am hoping to really start the readathon. I want to read Mugby Junction by Charles Dickens. Amazon keeps recommending the Signalman, which is part of the Mugby Junction collection.

That's fine, It probably won't be straight away next year but will be within the first two/three months, you can take as long as you need to read it I;m not such a fast reader either so we shall be fine!

Tracey | 916 comments I'm reading Carry On, but I don't anticipate getting much reading in for this readathon. We're hosting family for holidays which means cooking and cleaning and keeping people entertained. This will be a slow down for the new year.

Gaijinmama | 13 comments Only about 100 pages left to go in Written in My Own Heart's Blood (Outlander, #8) by Diana Gabaldon
It's kind of different from the other books in the series. I still love Diana Gabaldon but I'm having a few issues.(Not that I would ever stop being a huge fan!)

LadyElena | 27 comments Hi everyone. This readthon gave me the energy to finish (yesterday) "The second coming"by john Niven. if anyone is interested, I gave this book 2.5 stars.
It's a funny book full of humor and rock but it is not my genre. it's about God decision to sent Jesus back on Earth to save humanity from self destruction.
The first part is very good and well structured but later the book loses its potential and focuses to much on unuseful details.
I'll be starting my new year with no books on hold so I'm pretty happy! Good luck everyone

I'm touring around New Orleans and eating in some seriously fabulous restaurants, but trying to keep an eye on our Readathon as well. Not making a lot of progress, but am halfway through my current ebook. :)

Sam F | 198 comments Finished Fifth Business - such a great book! Now I've started something different - Somewhere Inside: One Sister's Captivity in North Korea and the Other's Fight to Bring Her Home. It's quite interesting so far to see a bit of a glimpse into North Korea.

message 75: by Beth (new)

Beth | 202 comments I'm in a weird slump where I don't want to do anything never mind reading, but I;m one book away from my goal and it's half way through the 30th, so I better read something...
