Found a good read (least it looks that way) about how the Brit Parlor Mysteries were born...or similar. Thought it might make a good side read sometime during summer. I'll get correct title and post it. Have two interested as a possible.

Sounds interesting! Someone posted a book on Facebook that sounded interesting. It's called "The Hotel Westend" by Ashley Lynch-Harris. Sounds like a bit of And Then There were None, Clue and the like. I certainly don't need any more books on my TBR list but I couldn't resist LOL
BTW, I didn't win the Diva book but I will pick it up none the less.

Happy Memorial Day Everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful day. Hubby and I ran away for a few days, we're home now and I have to get things going for the BBQ. If anyone wants to join us your all more than welcome to come and enjoy yourselves with some great BBQ, foods, laughter, ok lots of laughter, and lots of fun. come as you are, you'll be among friends so there's no dressing for impression, just come and have fun!

Thanks Jill for the invite - will be there in spirit! Quiet day here - husband went on a motorcycle ride with some friends and I stayed home. Watched "Sergeant York" this morning on AMC. Gosh would I love to take their Classics Cruise - it looks like so much fun. Then I watched an Aurora Teagarden mystery with Candance Cameron Bure. It was good. I enjoyed it.
Thank you to all Veterans for everything you and yours have done to protect me and mine. Words cannot adequately express my Gratitude. (BTW - my dad is a Korean War veteran.)
YW Allison. BBQ was good, fun, lots of laughter and my knee held up better than I thought it would, but now, I'm whooped and knee is throbbing. So just going to sit and relax and read.Next Sunday starts the new mysteries every Sunday night on Hallmark Mystery Channel. Can't wait for that.
Thank your dad for his service. Both my dad and hubby's dad served in Vietnam and hubby was in Desert Storm, he was there the very first night it started, and while he was there doing that, I was off to the er to take my 3 mo. old son back to the hospital...Wasn't a fun night I can tell you that.

I remembered that I have 2 other Diva books. Something like The Diva Digs up Dirt and Paints the town. I got them from someone at work who was giving away books! I can read those in the meantime since the new book isn't out yet!

I don't know anything about J leaving or possibly a new group starting. I thought we had a pretty good group going albeit that only a few members actually participate. I'll stay. I' perfectly happy here.

Typically, summer is slow and people want to well, summer. That's a given. But I didn't want to assume anything and-- So thanks for staying and filling the halls with opines, reviews, friendship, laughter and of course, mystery. ;-)

Yes it was Nicole! I haven't received it yet. Do you want to read it when I'm done?I didn't know anything about J leaving, so does that mean that she doesn't want to host the new Diva book? Like I said earlier, and I must not of read that J left, the new book is due out Tues. and I don't know if the ones that ordered the physical book if it will get to them on Tues. or not, but I'd still like to read it for this months discussion.

Tina, we got this! out little group will grow we must be patient, and besides that, being small helps the butler on serving us drinks faster, we have no wait time for our drinks or our hors d'oeuvre

Maybe I read wrong but it just seemed that way to me. (Because I'm not a fan of my ipad I'm left out?) I could've participated somehow. Read all the posts see what it sounded like to you. I felt left out esp. when I was feeling low and going thru a rough time. Like kick a person when they're down.
If I'm wrong, I apologize but I truly felt left out. Right? Wrong? Feelings...everyone has them.
