And maybe we'll need to look no further? I'll check if it's in Kindle or e-format. ;-)

Update -- Yep, in Kindle, print and all manner of good things.

I know!! I was pleasantly shocked when I received word in my e-newsletter. Can't wait...though I think I'd like a different Goldy. Well, we'll see. Maybe she can deliver. Either way, I'll take it!

I've watched a bunch of the mysteries so far and even some of the other ones. Sometimes my husband will even watch them even though he says they are just "ok" LOL

Is everyone on board for April? Or should we wait 'til May for a title read? Maybe it's time to take stock of what we want to do with The Parlor? I know there are many sites, threads, options (maybe too many and we are stretched) but I'm good either way.

How many Y's to keep The Parlor going? How many N's we close? Lead the way, PI's. :-)

Anyone hear from Pghfan lately? Hope he's okay and that he's able to check in with us. :-)

Mark Pghfan | 1939 comments Mod
I'm OK. I've been so busy that I haven't made any progress on the current book in two weeks. I think I'll skip April, until things quiet down. I just taught the third week of my "Reading Agatha Christie" Class, for out lifelong learning group. One more week to go.

Tina (tinacz) | 6103 comments Mod
Glad you're okay, Pghfan and better a full dance card than empty. ;-) I'm a bit behind on March read as well. Too much going on in the month....my birthday celebration for one. ;-) Update on car stuff and compiling my late tax filing, doc appts. etc. Yikes! See you when you can make it even if later in April and so on.

Thanks for posting. Rock on, my friend!!

message 1367: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolevickers) | 1814 comments Good to hear from you, Mark! Did you discuss a particular book this week in class?

message 1368: by Mark Pghfan (new)

Mark Pghfan | 1939 comments Mod
We've been discussing stories from the Three Blind Mice collection. I chose it because it had stories featuring both Poirot and Miss M, as well as the title story and a Satterthwaite/Harley Quin story.

Tina (tinacz) | 6103 comments Mod
I still have my Three Blind Mice book w/collection of short stories. Just last night I was pondering tossing it in my donation bag, but I think I'll hold onto it. Some good stories in it. The Love Detectives. Hmm? I wonder if that's a Tommy & Tuppence story? Now I'll have to look into it. See what you started PI, Pghfan. LOL

message 1370: by Tina (new)

Tina (tinacz) | 6103 comments Mod
Why don't we do three or four short stories out of the Three Blind Mice or another collection for April or (if too busy) May? Say one a week for the month or three in stretched out weeks. Maybe PI - Mr. Teach could host as he has much material from his adult classes. I could tap ML and see if he'd like to join us. Just wonderin'?

message 1371: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolevickers) | 1814 comments Since Mark is skipping April should we do that in May instead? And read the other book in April?

I'd prefer, if you want to do the Christie stories, that we wait till May, and do the book you were planning on, in April. I'm just feeling overwhelmed at the moment.

Actually, Mark, so am I. Doc appts. up the nose and I've yet to do my taxes. Yikes! Just too much in March-April for this PI. Annual eye visit today and I'm just starting to see clearly now. LOL?? :-/

May would be great for the short stories, PI Pghfan, PI's. What say you all?

Also, I found a Rex Graves short story that maybe we could do in April instead of a full novel. Say Murder With Flowers: A Rex Graves Mini-Mystery Say Murder with Flowers A Rex Graves Mini-Mystery by C.S. Challinor

Or the one we previously seemed to agree on, Mystery at the Spring Ball. PI's, you pick. I'll go along with whatever. Sorry about the confusion but I got a bit buried in the meantime.

Murder at the Spring Ball or sit April out? I'm good either way, PI's. Still rolling along on my hit...I mean to-do list. LOL

Thanks for weighing in, PugMom! So, that's two, moi and you. As PI Pghfan is off tripping the April light fantastik we'll see what PI Nicole opines. If it's just us two, then we'll leave things 'til May. If she joins in, then we've the trio of page turners. Bada, bing. :-)

PugMom (nicoleg76) | 2014 comments Mary Daheim just passed away. She actually has another book coming out though. Maybe we can read it next year (comes out in December).

Me 2 on the Rex books, Nicole. Read all M Daheim's B&B books up to Silver Scream. Love Judith's mom who lived in the shed-MIL apt. She was too much.

I'm not able to host this month as I'm still un-burying myself under stuff. Two doc appts. tomorrow alone. If no one can host, we could just run 3 - 4 threads with chapter chunks and post to them as we want. See what you PI's think. :-)

I hope to be. Meantime, thanks for holding up The Parlor fort. Dealing with a challenge and I expect to come out back on track. I posted Nicole and she can tell you about it. Meantime, I'll be in and out. I'm so appreciating having you PI's friendship. Thanks bunches!

message 1394: by PugMom (new)

PugMom (nicoleg76) | 2014 comments Ok, I got my copy of Three Blind Mice and other Stories. Just let us know which story to read first! I do remember we read some of these stories last time so if someone knows which ones were missed we can start with one of those.

message 1395: by Mark Pghfan (new)

Mark Pghfan | 1939 comments Mod
I'm thinking of starting with Three Blind Mice. A longer story and not one I think we've done. I'll start this week is anyone is on board.

message 1396: by PugMom (new)

PugMom (nicoleg76) | 2014 comments I think we read Three Blind Mice. Is that the one that The Mousetrap is based on?

message 1397: by Mark Pghfan (new)

Mark Pghfan | 1939 comments Mod
It is. I didn't remember that, though. I don't remember what we read in the past. There are three Poirot's and four Miss Marples. Do you remember what we read?

message 1398: by PugMom (new)

PugMom (nicoleg76) | 2014 comments It looks like we read TBM in July of 2019 but I think that might have been the only one as far as I can tell. I guess the other stories are all up for grabs then.

message 1399: by Mark Pghfan (new)

Mark Pghfan | 1939 comments Mod
Well then, let's start with the Poirot stories, since there are TV adaptations we can comment upon as well as the story.

1. The Third Floor Flat
2. The Adventure of Johnny Waverly
3. Four and Twenty Blackbirds

Later, we can move onto the Marple stories; there are four of them.
