Hope you have a speedy recovery J!!!
Hey now! I was able to download Kindle app, follow directions (got caught up on existing psswd etc. but eventually got 'em in sync ) and now I've May title in my 'puter. So, thanks Jill! You and your link came through for me. Later, I'll try to send it to my ipad. Reason I didn't go there 1st is I don't want to buy stuff on it but storing a couple books, that's the idea. Now if transfer actually works, that'd be great! If not, I still have it on 'puter. Though I prefer hardcopy, I can participate in Allison's pick and get material not available in print. One such is Agatha Raisin's First Case (she's 26 and gorg...or is it gorge lol). Yippee! Thanks again, Jill!
Jill, 'twas easier than I thought possible. So thanks loads! And after dealing w/a certain website and other things (arrgh) I treated myself to Agatha Raisin's First Case (only available in e-copies) which I've wanted for months. Can't wait to tuck into that one. Now to have time to actually read it! LOL

I have June's selection already on pre-order, so it'll go directly to my kindle app and I won't have to wait to get it when it becomes available, it'll download while I sleep on the release date!
Not meant to usurp any of our lined up titles but I caught an interview on a local TV station which interviews authors (mostly mystery) and heard about this title. As you lot cram many books between our discussions, I thought some of you may find this one interesting. I hope to get to it someday. I'll see if I can find interview link and post it here. It's less than 1/2 hour and quite interesting. See whatcha think.

Sounds like a plan, Jill. I'll probably get the printed copy of latest Diva mystery. lol Old habits and all that. But at least I have a choice!
As for Agatha Raisin, I'm all caught up with her series except for First Case and then Beaton wrote a non Aggie book somewhere in the middle of her series. I thought it was an AR as the cover looked similar to her mysteries but upon closer look, I see it's different. Anyway, I love her books; AR never ceases to have me laugh during her capers.

Ty Tina, always like getting recommendations
It's not the one I noted but it seems it's close. 1:15 is about the start of synop on story. I like the old house and ghostly backdrop. Right up my dark and stormy alley. ;-)

I can't wait! Know the title by any chance? Her last two were her usual good stuff but I think that's where the cover design changed. Not that that means anything but it may signal a change in publishers carrying her or a change of some sort. But they do feel like author(s) stepped it up some.

I plan to be on-board with the JUne title. Enjoy your May discussion. And J: best wishes for a great recovery!

Pushing Up Daises. okay. Thanks, Jill.

Nicole, I like, "Snakes and Bastards." Watch this post get censored. I bought Agatha R's First Case for .99 now to be able to get to it. I breezed the first page as that's all I had time for. I want to dive into it now. Arrgh!

This is so sad, Joyce passed in Oct. and now him months apart. This is so sad.

Nicole, I too laugh out loud at Aggie's antics. And I've yet to venture into the Plum series but have heard that I must. I will one day. Just so much out there that something always gets put before Plum books.

Aww. Seems he just wanted to be with his Joyce. His partner in life. Sad for sure. :-(

My favorite Stephanie Plum character has to be Lula. She kills me every time she's on a new diet. Like the donut or fried chicken diet lol

Donut diet? Now that I could follow. (Actually, that's the problem). Why does all the good stuff turn out to be bad for us? Not fair!
You would think so, Jill. lol

Wanted to let you know that Deadly Arrangements (book 2 in the Flower Shop Mysteries) is a kindle freebie on Amazon today.
Enjoy!
Hey, PI's. If you want to discuss your Flower Shop score for May's side read May to June, that'd be fine with me. No sense wasting a good bagging like that. And also, as June read won't be out until June 7th. (don't quote me on date) or thereabouts, there's plenty of time to fill in with something. As for moi, I've books on 'puter but still haven't figured how to get it to ipad. But then I had hands full with vet visits and my own. But, hey, go ahead if you like. I've Agatha Raisin's First Case on 'puter and still haven't gotten to it. (S'pose to be a shorter story so it should go good. Anyone here read it yet)? I'm on Skelgill book in duration. ;-)
A li'l jazz coming from The PI Mansion, home to The Parlor and its Home Movie Theater...I've a short film entered in two film festival comps and one feature script in an L.A. film fest comp. They'll be making decisions for Official Selection to screen the films by May 27th and the other about July. As for script, that will be in August. No guarantee any of them will be picked to screen or even mentioned but I've as much chance as any other submission--nothing ventured, nothing gained. We'll see how it goes. Winning wishes are welcomed. lol

Love the jazz! trying to get all my reading done before Austin and Jake start coming over next week when schools out. Her cheer-leading squad didn't make regional's, so that means they don't get to go to nationals this year, so she's pretty bummed about it, but that's ok we've still got plenty of things planned and hopefully that will take her mind off of it.
Aww, so sorry about your friend's GPa. I'll send up a prayer for him too. And thanks for the candle. I visualize it's flickering glow burning bright for all of us. ;-)
That hurts but it also builds our resolve to go out there and try again. Tell her there's always the next one and they will be that much more prepared to take it. Summer vacation and all the activities you've planned will take her mind off things. ;-)
Group hug, group hug in The Parlor for all The PI's and their loved ones. ;-)

J, I'm glad to see you. It just seemed unusually quiet here and I thought everyone left. lol But absolutely. Diva Serves High Tea is it! Thanks!
Anyway, if you want to start creating a buzz, inviting peeps, etc. feel free to do so. (Think author might want to join us? I think she's already signed in).

If you pre-ordered from Amazon, they will deliver it on the 7th.

High hopes you get chosen Tina! That's exciting.

LOL J, you asked the Q I needed answered. Is ARC Advanced something Copy? I should know this!
You PI's are on the ball. Now I must get and order my copy. Not sure our local B&N will have one by time I get there as they sell out fast. Biz's ordering never ceases to amaze me. If something is popular, duh, order more! This is same with popular shoe sizes, pastries, books whatever. And the stuff that doesn't move sits there.
Thanks, Allison. I'm counting the daze. Hope I'm not setting myself up for a crash. lol But nothing ventured--
Nicole, I bet you'll get your ARC!

ARC: Advance Reading Copy :)
Jill, I went and ordered it from B&N. With my card, I got free S&H (deduction of 3.95 from full price so it was less than $10. and less than going w/Ammy). I find even though titles release on a certain day, online orders get filled and shipped a day or two before release date so books may not arrive right on day but are soon to follow. Then there's the free pages on Ammy to read before if someone wants to. All's well that ends well.
ARC - Had it but missed the "Reading" part. lol
