. Lauren Gilley is one of my all time fav author's so this was pure heaven for me. All of her books are 5++ stars for me. The only bad part about it is there are no more to read so I'm waiting impatiently for her next one in the Dartmoor or Lean Dog Legacy Series that is. I do still have her other two series to delve into. I decided to move onto to another fav author and read
and am currently reading
. Again, very saddened to say goodbye to another fav series Signal Bend but decided to move on and start another one The Pagano Family. So far, really liking it.

So I've never been able to really DNF a book, because I always have to know what happens in the end. But damn these 2 I just read were the stupidest fucking books ever written!! The first one started out and went pretty good, and it dealt with some heavy topics which is actually what got me to read it in the first place. Kidnapping, human trafficking stuff,the chick was kidnapped and sold to a man in Iraq and held for over a year before she escaped, and she was also like 8months pregnant. The the bought her was a sadist, sever torcher and rape! then the second book from reading the blurb makes you think she gets taken again after finding a good man. But no she has a mental PTSD break and walks out of the house leaving her 2yr old and like 2 week old alone while her husband is deployed. So husband comes home starts searching for her, not knowing what happens, and because it happened on a naval base NCIS is called. Well it's a chick agent and ya kno they become friends looking for his wife, yea fuckin right!! This chick wants home starts coming over everyday to "help" with the kids then take him out to look for his wife. Well he finds her a month after she disappeared thro a shelter that found her in the streets and the psychiatrist that is helping her with the PTSD. The wife literally HATES her self and feels dirty and disgusting. And the husband when he finds her is a DICK! And she just stands there in absolute misery crying and repeating I'm so sorry over and over, so he ask her are you coming home, she says no I'm not good for you and the kids I can't, so he leaves and like just goes on about his life. Starts seeing the NCIS chick everyday decides that he can't do live again but yea he likes her wants to fuck her, he has to leave on deployment soon so he is gonna move her into his house to be mom to his now kids, cause his wife just left him just cause she couldn't handle being a wife and mother. So the noses neighbor friend goes an tells the wife he is moving on, so the wife works up the nerve to go to the house and ask him to come to therapy with her the next day. She literally has to beg him, telling him he only thing keeping her sane is that she loves him and her kids but she can't stop having flash backs of her torcher and rapes. Yea so he goes and feels sorry for so he brings her home, and get this, has to leave her at the neighbors while he goes to his house and tells the NCIS chick he is bringing his wife home, but he still wants to be friends with her even tho she is in love with him, a man she knew was married from the very begining!!!! OMFG!! Seriously I wanted to nut punch this dude sooooooo fucking bad!!!

I needed something darker and not romantic as a palate cleanser before I go back on a romance binge. I loved "Gone Girl", but "Sharp Objects" didn't do it for me. Here's hoping this one is good.

. Excellent....loved everything about it!!!! The book is quite lengthy to start with but I was pissed when it ended because I wanted to just keep on reading which I will be shortly....lol. JM Darhower is a excellent writer. Great characters that keep you enthralled right from the start. I am now 100% invested in these people and want to know what happens to them. I've had this series for quite a while now and don't know what took me so long to get to it but I'm glad that I finally did. So, on that note I'm going to start

In total Jade West style, it is crazy dirty, kinky and oh so good! It wont be 'up everyone's ally' but if you enjoy your boundaries being pushed you will love it as much as me :)

If you are familiar in the least with the authors series
you will understand that she takes risk and knows no limits or boundaries. I have had to google many things she has had her characters do LOL!It is worth the risk I promise, but do NOT let any children near and keep extra batteries on hand...HAHA!

Oh, Chase. The love of my life. I adore their story. That book poured out of me in under a week i was so absorbed and invested in their HEA. and i might actually like Chase's pov book even better

*g* I had a few difficulties myself but after reading all her other books. And again. And well, at some time I was at the point, were I even tried her old harlequin stuff (don't, just don't ;-) ) and on the second try I liked them (the rock kiss stuff, not theold stuff).

it was a great read Rachel Gibson is a great author. I've just started
very dark but loving it. Hope your all well! It's very hot in Ireland the last few days and I'm feeling very zonked! haha I shouldn't be complaining though.
