All treat, no tricks! Mine just got here! Well worth the wait! Review to follow in a coupla weeks or so...
What's your favorite part, Chris? Mine is the Targaryens, the Arryns, Tywin vs Aerys and House Reyne and of course the Rhoynars.
Well, I've just read through the history of the Targaryens and started on the North. I really love the chronicle of kings. The art is fantastic too. I kinda have a crush on Falina Stokeworth lol.

I like Serenei of Lys, but damn, Aegon the Unworthy really knew how to pick his ladies!
But I think my real crush is Rhaenyra Targaryen.
So during and shortly after the Dance of Dragons, there were three significant Tully lords of Riverrun.Grover, Elmo, and Kermit.
I love this book too. illustrations are marvelous! I particularly loved all of the info about places outside of Westeros. and also loved all of the detail on the Targaryens.
It makes me want to go back and re-re-read the series again, to see how many historical easter eggs there are.
I'd go gay for Rhaenyra hahaha.Aegon the Conqueror is just perfect as well.
The artwork is indeed excellent. Magali Villeneuve is my favorite, she is the one drawing the mistresses if I'm not mistaken.
Best art probably the scene between Meria Martell and Rhaenys. It was better than I imagined.
Oh and Chris, I LOLed so hard reading the Muppets and Sesame Street reference. My least fave part upon the firsr read was the Iron Islands (no surprise there) and some of the Essos parts. But it was probably going to change after reread.
I'm reading this now (31% deep) and I loved the part about the Dance of the Dragons. Such a good chapter.
After Season 5 Episode 2, I jumped back into the books, beginning with Feast. My beautiful copy of World lies next to me while I re-read, adding more insight. Why... I feel just like I'm at The Citadel...
Fully concur. So many knowledge in one place. It must have been fun for the eager novices. Wish we could get a glimpse of the Citadel in GoT.
