9/35 A book that takes place during summer The Summer Book by Tove Jansson - 2.5 stars
10/35 A satirical book The Torrents of Spring by Ernest Hemingway - 1.5 stars
I give this 1.5 stars. I guess Hemingway did successfully make fun of the novel Anderson wrote, the friend who introduced him to all of the influential expats in Paris that helped him launch his career. The book by Anderson was annoying and terrible in my opinion and so was the Torrents of Spring. I'm embarrassed for Hemingway though for making fun of Anderson's repetition and simple word usage considering he worked so hard to put in word repetition into his own writing. Satire is less effective when it's a thin veil for jealousy and resentment for being compared to an author that inspired your own writing.
11/35 - Night Film by Marisha Pessl - 5 stars
I don't normally read mysteries because the plots are a little too predictable, but I really got into this one! I'm very pleased to have a found a mystery I enjoyed! The pages with 'photographs' and screenshots of internet pages were totally immersive for me and I loved it, even though it was a total gimmick. It worked for me.

Thank you Cassandra.
The best for me were the surprises, books that I would have missed out if I didn’t join this challenge. Tasks that I thought were hard to complete turned out among the best reads, probably because I had to really think about what I was going to pick ?
Best surprise reads for me were:
15. A book written by a celebrity- You're Never Weird on the Internet (Almost) by Felicia Day and
39. A book that takes place on an island: Shutter island.
Another couple of books that that I really liked were:
19. A book from Oprah's Book Club- Middlesex and
23. A book that is published in 2016: What was mine by Helen Klein Ross
I too would be interested to know what all participants rate as their best reads, it can also be helpful for people who are looking for ideas, maybe we could have a thread for the best reads for this challenge?
