Lauryn April (laurynapril) | 44 comments Do you write reviews for indie books (self-published or books published by a small press) on your blog?

Phantom Owl Press has a page where you can link up to your reviews. http://www.phantomowlpress.com/#!indi...

Just go to the link above and type in the title of your review and its link. Phantom Owl will be taking the list that's generated at the end of every month and posting it on their blog.

Quanah Edwards | 65 comments I need more reviews for my books. And I review books that I read, I don't check to see if they're independent or not.

Goodbadbizarre | 2 comments Wow Lauryn, that is a really great resource you've got on your site! We're definitely going to be checking you out from now on. It's awesome to see others dedicating that much time to indie books. :)

I love reviewing books, but they seem hard to come by at times, unless I manage to find them on the Internet or one of the English-language bookshelves (which are few and far between) in the bookstores here.

And I think we'd all love more reviews of our own books too! I know I'd certainly like some more of mine.

Quanah Edwards | 65 comments I had a lot of people buy and read them, but not review them! AARGH. lol

Haha, Quanah, a lot of the authors I talk to have the exact opposite problem: they send out free books for reviews, but have little to no buyers. Personally, I'd rather have your problem because people buying = money, yes? Look on the bright side! :)

I only have published two books so far. Sales have been slow, but enthusiasm for them has been high. I've been given excellent ratings and could not ask for better than that! I'm new to Goodreads and am watching very carefully how all of you market your own books; you are my teachers! So far, from what I have observed, I think I will not be giving books away. My mother always told me that when people get something for free, it has no value to them. Your opinions and advice are welcome.
