I have a feeling this next week is going to be wonderful. Don't get me wrong - I love Jeff to death. But, he talks continuously. Makes it hard to read. Well he just left a couple of hours ago to make a trip to Wisconsin. He will be attending his niece's wedding next Saturday and visiting family. I plan to use the quiet time to read and just relax. Probably do some Spring cleaning also, but now today. I am not in any pain or having any problems physically right now. A much needed bonus. Looks like it might rain outside. Wonderful day to do some reading. Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers! My daughter and granddaughter brought me a basket with a bunch of goodies. A coffee mug, shower gel, lotion, shower sponge, and a few other things.

Angie | 623 comments My kids got me the Charmed DVD collection, lol. So daft but it'll take me ages to watch it all so I won't have to figure out what to but on at night:) Its good to hear you're pain free at the moment Cindy, bet it must be such a relief after so long. Did you not want to go to the wedding with Jeff?

I would have loved to go Angie, but I'm having so much trouble out of the grandson right now that there is no way I would leave him here by himself. He is court ordered to go to GED classes and can't miss them. Plus, Jeff and I have been up each other's hind end so much lately that it's kind of a break for both of us.

My grandson never came home night before last and I had to file a missing person's report, no sleep worrying, etc. Last night the police brought him home :D = I got sleep.

Anybody want to trade lives? I really think I'm jinxed. Yet another sleepless night because somebody set the apartment building right next door on fire. I called it in. Arson investigator wanted to talk to me - blah, blah, blah. Long night. Have to get up at 6 a.m. :(

Cindy, I can totally understand you. My boyfriend and I we had so many sickenesses and problems that we thought we were jinxed as well and we even WENT to a man to take it off from us. And we are total non-believers! It was so bad, just bad luck all 7 years and all the hatred from both sides parent oposing our relationship bla bla, and him getting sick every once in a while with a NEW sickness...before we started dating he was completely healthy! So who wouldn't guess we were jinxed or given an evil eye uhhhh

6/4/14 10:00 p.m.

I'm a little sad today. I have a hard time dealing with destruction, death, and hardships. Today some really bad weather hit my state and there were several tornado warnings issued. The last one was for a really large wedge shaped tornado in Southern Kentucky. This is a rural area and many of the people who live here are poor. Haven't gotten any damage reports as of yet. The tornado was just spotted 30 minutes ago. Maybe I'm overly sensitive, but I have struggled most of my life with money, food, utilities, etc. and I know what it's like to have nearly nothing. Please say a prayer for the people in the path of this tornado. I just checked and it is still on on-going emergency with additional tornado warnings in progress.

GeneralTHC Sorry to hear that, Cindy. I think we've lucky thus far in Texas this year.

It's just sad, but nature can't exactly be told how to act.

This is really sad...unfortunately these disasters don't spare anyone...and usually the poorest get the tougher end :( hope it gets better soon with the weather at least!

So happy to be home. In the hospital once again. This time it was a different hospital. I think I like it better than the one I've been going to. Yet another new diagnosis - seizures. :(

Holly | 140 comments Oh no! :(

I hope you feel better!

message 65: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm OK, just tired of hospitals. Been admitted four times already this year with three surgeries.

message 66: by Holly (new)

Holly | 140 comments Yikes. I hope you don't have to go back anytime soon. I'll keep you in my prayers.

message 67: by [deleted user] (new)

Thank you Holly. It is getting really tiring. And it's taxing my nerves.

Holly | 140 comments You're welcome. I bet; that's a lot of hospital visits in a short amount of time.

Cindy, I can imagine what you're going through! I've been with my boyfriend so many times in hospital that I know all the departments :( I know what it feels like for him, he fears them and hates them...at the moment he's sick as well but he's very afraid to go and check it out and I'm so angry at him...but just like you, he's tired of being in the hospital and poked, probed and cut :(

Get better soon!

Really happy to be back on GR's. No hospitalizations or surgeries for a couple of months now. Finally got my disability and pretty much maintaining on my own little pharmacy of medications. My grandson was murdered in August. This is the one I was having so much trouble with. He was 8 days shy of his 18th birthday. All in all I'm doing pretty good. In counseling and seeing doctors about twice a week for my physical ailments. It is much better now that I don't have to hold down a job and be in pain at the same time. Just want to get back to doing what I love (reading). Oh, and I moved to Wisconsin. Love it up here!
