Frankly, I think it should be non-woods related as every other group seems to have a picture of a forest. Hmmm...OH! Maybe you could take a blurry picture of the tube around 9AM-ish! I used to LOVE/HATE taking the tube around that time. It was sooo hectic and I ALWAYS ended up being pushed into someone with B.O. But I really loved being able to read on my way to class. That's one of the things I miss about London. That and how lovely the cops were. Unlike here in L.A.
Isn't reading in public great? Almost like public privacy...ya know? Just a suggestion. I'm sure whatever you pick will be perfect. :)

I'm a military brat so I've lived all over but actually I was in London for a scholarship program. I wasn't there too long but I think back and feel incredibly sad that I didn't go for pleasure as I was so busy with classes I barely got to venture out. I was able to make it out to Stratford-upon-Avon and Bath and all the obvious places but there were so many places I missed. I plan to go again but just for pleasure.
I like the pic! I first viewed it from my mini-computer and thought it was Monet's 'The Clouds' from his water lillies series. So, I was already pleased but I like it even more since it's a photo of a place you actually visited.
Hmmm...hard to say. Perhaps you could switch them out whenever you get bored of looking at one of them? I like them both because of the thoughts and memories behind them. I do plan to visit London again but probably as a stop. I am planning a trip to Paris (I'm learning French) that will span over a month and a half (I hope). I would be spening most of my time in Paris but am planning small trips to Italy and then London where I still have a couple of friends. You're right, the city is a great place to stay busy in. Piccadilly Circus was one of my favorite places, even though I know it's so touristy. I miss the pub food and I really miss how friendly everyone is...and the way the tube can take you anywhere you want to go cuz I HATE driving. You can't multi-task, like say reading, when you're driving. :(
So, why haven't you? Travelled, I mean. WHat's stopping you?
You're probably right, it would probably confuse people who are members of both groups. Stick with this pic I think. I have been to Camden. It reminded me of Venice Beach with an twist of New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Especially at the Market. There were drum circles and vendors that sold clothes similar to those at Venice and the crowd was so eclectic and there to kick back and enjoy themselves (like during Mardis Gras). I was only there for maybe a weekend? Can't recall but it wasn't long. I liked it. :)
Funny you should mention having no one to travel with because I actually prefer to travel alone. It FORCES me to make friends and to leave things to chance. The only country I ever visited with someone was Ukraine and Poland and that's because that's where my boyfriend was. We had a long distance relationship for three years. I was there for a month. I liked having someone with me (especially someone I loved) but in truth, I was mostly glad to have him because I don't speak a lot of Russian AT ALL.
Now, I have never been to Barcelona and I would LOVE to go. You have to report back and send pictures! Sounds truly thrilling and I'm excited for you! There's nothing like waking up in different country where even the air is different. Now's the time to do it Jo because now is always the best time to do something. Later is too late. :)
Thanks for the invite Jo! More like minding people to chat to, have to get up now and get ready to do a night shift. Will check in tomorrow!
Hey Jo, thanks for inviting me over! This looks like a great group and of course just one more for me to be addicted to! :) I've already read a handful of the books on your bookshelf and I will try to catch up with the others.
I know I will. I'm already enjoying the group immensely.
I've joined, thought it wasn't through an invite. This group seems more active than most; that caught my eye. When will we start the group read? I've always wanted to do one of those.
Sounds like this group is for me-- it's a lot of fun already.
