I thought it would be interesting to create a map that shows where everyone in the group is from. (If anyone can find a map that is group interactive, let me know!)

Step 1: Tell me your name, any identifiers you'd like (such as "author of Time Traveling Tribbles"), where you currently live (city, state/province, country).

Step 2: Go to https://mapsengine.google.com/map/edi... to view the map of where our group members live.

Step 3: Visit again in a few days or weeks to see new additions.

I probably have a Google account, but I couldn't remember the email, password, etc., and my old standbys didn't work. Probably just as well; I never use Google anyway. But if someone else wants to enter it on the map, I'm from Atlanta, GA, and now live in Rutledge, GA.

Well, pooey. Of course everything looks peachy from my end. I'll just manually enter them a few at a time.

Timothy Michael Lewis (timothymichaellewis) | 101 comments I can view the sheet but can't edit it Amy. This is trying on a iPad though so will try a PC later.

Okay. I'm changing the instructions. Everyone can just tell me where they're from, and I'll add them to the map manually.

If anyone can find a map that multiple people can pin to, let me know. I can't seem to find such a thing.

Good idea though.

Perhaps home is where one parks his or her Containment Unit? I'm from many places myself.

Howard's just afraid we'll discover his true identity ... which is actually Manny from Black Books:

I thought maybe, given that it's a Brit show, you know.

Just wondering, eh?

Neville We get QI here in Australia. Have watched most episodes twice.
Definitely a big fan of Bill Bailey.

message 20: by Howard (new)

Howard Loring (howardloringgoodreadscom) | 1177 comments Neville, yes, a great concept & I love how they judge the winners.

Fry is one of my favorites, too.

Never heard of it, so I would have to say -no

message 24: by Timothy (new)

Timothy Michael Lewis (timothymichaellewis) | 101 comments QI is a great show. Amy, can you change my name to just Tim on the chart, I feel so formal with my full name...

Youtube & it's worth a view if your viewing choices are something different.

You can ask Timothy, but call him Tim.

message 27: by Howard (new)

Howard Loring (howardloringgoodreadscom) | 1177 comments Kathryn, I just read your profile where you mention women in History.

Given your picture I thought you should know that all of the heroes in each of my Epic Fables are redheaded women & they all changed their Current Reality & thereby History itself.

Write what you know, you know?

If you're interested, it's all explained here:

I loved them both in 'Black Adder' & there was even a Time Travel special wherein Fry (among others) played several parts; Wellington, etc.

I like his Nature stuff, too.

Nothing beats Brit tele.

Paul's Present is also his Past & Future.

Sounds like my new book that can be read backwards as well as forwards & any way in between.

Your books' characters would love it, especially those pesky ancient Greeks.

Okay. Now the map's shaping up. Something I found was that when I tried to put both Kathryn and Timothy in London that it was only giving me one pin rather than multiple pins ... or at least it looked that way since they're stacked on top of each other. So, from now on, there will just be one pin for each city, but multiple people might have their names on the same pin.

Yes. However, I thought I'd let everyone tell me if they want on the map rather than putting them on myself without their knowledge. But thanks. :-)

message 35: by Timothy (new)

Timothy Michael Lewis (timothymichaellewis) | 101 comments Welsh are British, but not English, Howard. So you can call him a Brit. Don't call anyone from Ireland British though if you value your life..

Oh, Saratoga Springs is beautiful. Wow. It only seals my hope that our next move is to non-NYC New York. Gorgeous.
