Sometimes. Depends on my moods too. Like right now I'm taking a break from anything paranormal and reading a modern day love story.
I agree with Terri and Kimberely, I absolutely love my vampires and can never get enough books about them :)
Nah it's never too many; I agree with Jenn, sometimes you just gotta take a break from a genre every once in a while
I must admit after a certain woman created a certain sparkly nimrod, my tolerance for the vamps has soured somewhat (I was raised on Louis and Lestat thankee kindly) It seems every two bit hack lately is trying to piggyback on the success of Twilight, and it grows tiresome.I'm more of a Fae person though in my Paranormal Romance anyway.
Love the vampires but as I have read more PR and UF I tend to lean toward the were culture. I like when you have a mixing of species in one book so you don't get too much of a good thing. The mercy Thompson series does a good job of introducing fae and other worldly creatures into the storyline about werewolves and still you have aside plot about vampires.
I'm more of a fan of weres, but I still love the vamps, especially when they've got personality and true power. I love the vamps in the Jane Yellowrock series and, of course, Mercy Thompson's friend the Scooby-doo van driving vamp. I'm tired of vegetarian vamps.

LOL! I think many of us agree with you there.

I like the fact that there are a lot of different vampire books out there because it gives me a wide variety to pick from.I agree with some of the previous comments about disapproving of sparkling and vegetarian vampires though.
I'm a fan of the dangerous vamps, not the cuddly kind.

For sure, but that goes for a lot of genres.

Okay. I've just gotta know. Vegetarian vamps? The only one I know of is Parker in
, and the whole book skews toward the odd side. There are others?
Well, the most well known ones are the Twilight vamps. Then a lot of authors started copying the plot/character profiles but I've forgotten what most of those books are.
Eww... Twilight...I only read one of the Vampire Diaries books, but isn't Stefan a vege-vamp too? I know he is in the TV show...
I know there's more, but I can't think of them now for the life of me!
Unless by veggie-vamp you mean drinking from bags?Stefan drinks from bags because when he drinks directly from humans he loses it. (We're talking worse than Damon is/was.)

It's been a while since I read the Vampire Diaries books...and even then I only read one or two of them.
So I could very well be wrong.
Technically, none of them are "vegetarians." Stefan drinks blood bags and occasionally from Elena, I think. The Twilight vamps drank only from animals. It was just an inside joke that they called themselves vegetarians. But now, generally, any vamp who refrains from drinking directly from humans is sometimes refereed to as vegetarian.
Okay. Parker is literally a vegetarian vampire having been cursed by a witch. He drinks blended greens with a drop or two of blood from a friend's finger.

I haven't read that book/series yet and I'd never heard of such a literal "vegetarian" vampire before!!
