Are they really valid ISBNs? It just seems so odd that one publisher would issue 7 different versions on the same day... and I believe that 1970 was before ISBN were routinely given. Here is what info I obtained from WorldCAT:

OCLC Number: 495067694
Description: 1 v. (534 p.) ; 18 cm.
Series Title: Signet classic, CQ492.
Responsibility: by Stendhal ; translated by Lloyd C. Parks ; with an afterword by Donald M. Frame

I don't know what an OCLC number is...

Deon (deonva) | 3718 comments The ISBN's are indeed valid, now whether it really exist in someone's hand, I can't verify. It is virtually impossible to prove something doesn't exist.
