Dialogue

I know this topic is used a lot for this book, but how do you think that dialogue in The Outsiders affects the book? I think that the slang that the greasers use make them more greasy. It kind of lets me separate them from everyone else, and also it just makes them stick out.

I also feel that dialogue is a very important part of the outsiders. While dialogue my not define every character, it defines many other aspects of the book. One example would be how Ponyboy and the gang describe by what they say. Also, how Randy changed at the end of the story could only be shown by his dialogue, which made Pony believe he was just a regular guy, not just a Socs.
