I didn't read an as good thriller as this one in a very long time. The author is a new novelist but he is not new at writing. And wow! He is really exceptional.
Don't forget we are supposed to choose in the category "thriller and mystery". I see science fiction story and all sorts of books here.

WOW! I was not expecting to reach the 20 nomination threshold in only a few hours. :) It looks like you all are ready for some thrillers and mysteries. I will get the poll of these and a couple nominations that were emailed to me in a couple of days.
You guys rock!

Yeah, then my choice still fits in this list. :)

Here is a synopsis for your interest.
Megan and her three best friends are tired of their cheating husbands and are ready for a new adventure. They hire a sexy stripper, Michael Harrington, to be their time-share Boytoy, unaware he is the prime suspect in a series of grisly, bondage murders. When Detective Matt Donovan comes to call, Megan falls in love. Before long she is caught up in the murder investigation and lands in a heap of trouble. Matt's investigation takes him through L.A.'s private sex clubs, bondage parlors and the homes of the rich and famous. But who is the Bondage Murderer? Can it be a wealthy member of the Bayside Yacht Club? Or maybe one of the women? The rousing climax takes place on the luxury yacht, Estasea, as it sails the Channel back to the Marina
A MUST READ!

Sorry, Rebecca, authors cannot nominate their own books for MGR BOTM. I apologize. Perhaps one of your readers will? Thanks,

I'm sorry, Dawn, but authors can't nominate their own work for MGR BOTM. Maybe a reader can, and you'll be in the list that way. Thanks much,

Bravery. Honor. Sacrifice. These are more than mere words to former Marine sniper Nathan McBride. He’s never backed away from danger, and he’s not about to start now, even if it means confronting the cold-blooded interrogator who tortured him to the brink of death more than a decade ago.
When a mutilated body is discovered in a remote Utah lake, it ignites a chain of events that forces Nathan to face a dark chapter from a past he’s worked hard to forget. Could his Nicaraguan enemy be active again? On American soil? The evidence is clear, but the stakes are higher than Nathan can know. In a showdown that will test Nathan’s understanding of justice and mercy, he’ll have to make a life or death decision that has the potential to expose and destroy people at the highest levels of government.
"An absolutely bone-chilling thriller. Equal parts Stephen Hunter and Thomas Harris. Imagine Bob Lee Swagger going after Hannibal Lecter and you will have only scratched the surface of this intensely exciting novel. Forced To Kill will haunt you long after you read its last brilliantly plotted page."

I nominate The Spectrum Conspiracy b Craig Faris.

I think nominations should last AT LEAST THREE DAYS or have multiple nominations to qualify. Mysteries and Thrillers should be broken into two separate genres,/ and given the popularity of this, be offered far more often.

I approve enthusiastically to everything, particularly for the 3 voting days!!! :)

I guess I missed this one too, but this is a fabulous book - for guys and girls.
I just finished it, and will be posting the review today. I read it twice, yes, it was that good, and I'd love for people to discover these authors. Their talent as authors is right up there with those published by mainstream publishers - in fact much better than most of I've read.

Blurb:
"It’s 1958, a time when women and Negros are deemed second-class and are being second-guessed, and there arises the perfect storm for change, and the perfect time for an unlikely friendship.
Beatrice “Beanie” Peterson, forced to marry at fifteen and live with two sister wives, six children, and an abusive husband twenty years her senior, is looking for a way out.
Adeline “Liddie” Stewart Garrison, friend of Jack Kennedy, wife of a prominent Boston business man, and resident of Beacon Hill has already found her way in.
A wrong number, and a cry of desperation at the end of the line, sparks a long distance friendship between the two women who’ve never met. Through fourteen years of trouble and heartache from a stagnate domestic life, the struggle of civil rights, and the stigma of interracial relationships, a bond forms between the two that changes both of their lives forever."

Just like me, probably you recommended your book after the end of the period for that. It was just one day. Mine is not in the list either. And as another participant said, I don't know why this thread is not closed since we can't add books in it.

Oh well, it was a fantastic book, and maybe someone will want to read it from my post.
A shame though that all the good books nominated, (even after the deadline, whenever that was), will probably not be included or considered.
Maybe we should have a runner up club :D
