Jaime Samms has turned into one of my favorite authors this past year and this book lived up to my expectations.
Off Stage: In The Wings is the second book in the off stage series and is Len's story after he beats up his best friend and lead singer in their band Firefly. Len has been abused and raped in his past by his ex boy friend as well as others and he needs someone strong to help him hold everything together. Len is a submissive and gets involved with Trevor who is also a submissive and everything goes to hell between Len and the rest of his band becuase he isn't getting the help controlling his emotions so he is asked to leave.
Vance,a dominant country singer , who has had his own problems takes len away to try and help him but the relationship is falling apart because Len won't tell Vance what has happened to him. Vance is afraid to push Len and do more harm based on the little information he has so they both are floundering and Len is falling apart emotionally and lashed out physically when he feels too over whelmed.
I loved Len and Vance and wanted to cry because they were in such emotional pain and yet there were times that I wanted to shake Len and tell him to try to open up and tell Vance about his past like his psychiatrist is pushing him to do and yet Len is so damaged that he cant even voice some of the horrors he has endured.
I won't give away the rest of the story but if you like M/M stories about a rock singer that is full of angst and includes BDSM then this will be a book you will enjoy. All of Jaime Samms books involve characters that have been abused in some way and tend to draw you in from the first page.
I really hope there are more books in this series!

I did that when I posted my pick so I didn't think I had to do it in the review as well but I fixed it.

Review: I really love the series and can't wait to read the next one....
The Sylvermysts have a reputation as sinister cousins to the fey, and none are more mysterious than Ariyal and his tribe. To save his people from banishment, he faces a new challenge: Jaelyn, an elite vampire warrior sent to capture him. By rights, he should kill her on sight. Yet he cannot bring himself to hurt her—or to resist her…
Jaelyn is stunningly beautiful, utterly lethal—and always alone. Until Ariyal. From their first encounter, she knows that what's between them is more dangerous than simple lust. And as they unite to thwart a terrifying prophecy that will mean the end of his clan and of the world they know, she will risk everything to fulfill her destiny by his side…

Rainwater Kisses is the second book in the series and features Kaylee the sister of Emma LaRue from the first book. Kaylee doesn’t like to fly, doesn’t like to travel, enjoys her quiet life and dreams of one day having her own little bed and breakfast. Her little sister Emma has planned a wedding on the beach where her and Jack met forcing her to confront her fear of flying. Kaylee can only get a few days off from work so she plans to make the most of her trip, enjoying the beaches. What she didn’t plan on was meeting Owen who is charming and determined to get her attention. While Kaylee tries to avoid Owen’s intentions her attempts are quickly thwarted. Her few days in paradise are just that.
When she returns to her home she’s just assumes things will go back to the way they used to be. She doesn’t expect to see Owen. They both have their own lives and they don’t really mesh well together, since he’s a big city guy who’s working in Dubai for several weeks. While Owen makes every effort to see her when he can there time together is short with each of them falling in love. When Owen has to make a three week trip around the world he asks Kaylee to go with him but what should be an easy request is anything but. Kaylee must conquer her fear of flying for the man she loves. However the trip goes horribly wrong, causing Kaylee to end it all. Will Owen really accept it’s over? Will Kaylee be able to move on after losing Owen?
I really like Kaylee as a character just like I enjoyed her sister’s story. Owen is one of those good guys who’s worked hard and made something of himself. He doesn’t let the fact that he has money influence who he is. I like that he was willing to fly a little extra to spend time with Kaylee even if it was for only a few hours. While the romance was whirlwind it was sweet also, they are perfect for each other.
I really enjoyed the first book in the series so I knew I had to continue on with the next book. Rainwater Kisses is a fast paced contemporary romance novel with great story of two people from worlds apart falling in love. The characters are easy to connect with you can’t help falling in love with them. Kaylee is just a sweetheart I wanted her to have her happy ever after right from getting to know her. I feel the author has done a fantastic job creating a captivating yet complex story that isn’t overloaded or all about the sex. I like my romance to have substance and Rainwater Kisses has exactly that. I wasn’t able to put the down having to finish it in one sitting so I would know how it would end. Another well written installment in the Kisses series. I have the rest on my kindle and hope to get to the soon.

I will try to get my review in before I pass out - but if I don't, I have to be out of the house by 9EST tomorrow morning, so we'll still be able to roll early!

I was really excited to start reading this series again, because I loved the alternate history world created in The Iron Duke. I had trouble getting back into it , I think because I had forgotten a good deal of the story from a year ago, but it was worth it.
In The Iron Duke, Yasmeen threw Archemides Fox off of her airship, so I was very interested in exactly how this relationship was going to work out. I was not disappointed! It was a unique approach to be sure, but they were great characters and it made for a good adventure!

I loved this book and I hate seeing it end but what an ending !!!!!
It’s time.
Evil is running rampant and sweet Anna Whitt is its target. Nobody knows when or how the Dukes will strike, but Anna and her Nephilim allies will do anything necessary to rid the earth of the demons and their oppressive ways.
The stakes are higher than ever, and Anna is determined that the love she feels will be her strength, not a liability. But trying to protect the ones she loves while running for her life and battling demonic forces proves to be perilous—especially as faces are changing and trust is fleeting. When the Duke of Lust sends Anna’s great love, Kaidan Rowe, to work against her, Anna must decide how much she’s prepared to risk.
In the most sensual and fast-paced installment yet, Sweet Reckoning brings all the beloved Neph together one last time to fight for their freedom.

I loved this series and was really happy to have Mark's story! There were times that I wanted to yell at Mark to open his eyes and see his best friend Will and realize what was right infront of him. Mark kept insisting that he didn't want to get involved in a relationship and yet everytime Will went out on dates with someone it really bothered Mark and he always came up with reasons why Will's dates weren't good enough. It took Will saying he could no longer be Mark's Best friend to get Mark to understand what he was losing by being afraid to date someone.

I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for this book well since the Elite came out last year. I even preordered so I could start as soon as my copy arrived at the door, and didn’t read any of the reviews online ahead so I had no idea how it would end. I was drawn into the story right from the start having a hard time putting the book down because I had to know how it would end. The One had me on the edge of my seat I was worried about what would happen to America when she was risking her life and if she would pick the right guy. In the end I wasn’t disappointed in the least by her choice if anything I think the ending was a perfect way to finish the series. I think the author did a great job creating characters that are easy to connect with and you can’t help falling in love with the. Some of them I didn’t like at all while others surprised me and I was sad to see them go. It’s an emotional roller coaster that will leave you teary eyed at least it did for me. The found the whole series well written from start to finish it’s a series I fell in love with. The covers are stunning and I love the way they look on my shelf. I can’t tell you how many people I suggest this series too best described as the bachelor meets the dystopian genre. I’m sad to see it end but glad to know I can always re-read and fall in love all over again. I highly recommend The Selection it’s one of my favorite series.

I don't really have too much to say about this book, it's a very solid installment in the Iron Seas series and I really enjoyed it. It takes place in the same world as the other books but has two entirely new characters, which was an interesting approach for a romance series. The main characters were really unique and a ton of fun to read.

Review: I am really enjoying this series about a family of vampires and what they go through to find their mates...
FATE GAVE HER FANGS...
Ever since an accident turned her into a knockout vamp, Elvi Black's been catching her z's in a coffin, staying out of the sun, and giving up garlic. She knows there's more to being undead than what she saw in Dracula, but she can't very well ask her mortal friends about proper biting etiquette. But when her neighbors placed a personal ad for her in the local paper, she never imagined she'd meet Victor Argeneau, a vampire who could have his pick of any woman - dead or alive.
HE'LL SHOW HER HOW TO USE THEM...
Rich, powerful, and drop—dead gorgeous, Victor's the perfect man for a novice neck—biter like Elvi. He's willing to teach her everything he knows, but he'll have to do it fast. Someone's out to put a stake through her new vamp life, and only Victor can keep her safe - and satisfied - for all eternity.

Review
Sadie had hoped for a summer job working at the beach but instead she’s working in her mother’s place as a maid in a mansion. She spends her days working in the kitchen and in the garden but she quickly learns that the owner of the house is none other than teen rock star Jax Stone. Unlike most girls her age she’s not impressed by the fact that he’s a rock start she’s not even a fan of his music. Jax is surprised that she’s not a crazy fan trying to break into his room to spray perfume on his pillow. Jax is enchanted by how different she is from the typical girls he meets and can’t help be attracted to Sadie.
Sadie’s life isn’t easy her mom is pregnant and if she doesn’t work they won’t be able to eat or have power which is more than a 17 year old girl should deal with. She also hasn’t made any friends since moving to Alabama but Marcus is quick to change that he’s a few years old also working at the mansion. What Sadie didn’t expect to happen was to fall for Jax or for him to fall for her. Even though she knows he is leaving at the end of summer and they only have a little bit up time she jumps into dating him. Neither expected to fall in love, nor did they expect it to last past the summer. Things won’t be the same and lives will be changed forever.
I fell in love with Sadie right from the start she’s had a hard life and I think that makes her a character that feels real which I loved. I'm
a sucker for broken people finding love even if they are a rock star and his maid that just makes it better. I wanted to love Jax but we are also introduced to Marcus who I instantly liked also so I was torn between the guys but I think she chooses the right one in the end. I also liked a few of the supporting characters like Ms. Mary and Mr. Greg who worked at the mansion and I felt treated Sadie than her mom.
I've wanted to read a book by Abbi Glines for ages but never seemed to fit one in until I found one on my reading challenge for the week. I was instantly sucked into Sadie’s story, she’s not your typical teenager but more of an old soul and I loved it. I liked the idea of the rock star falling for his maid but I’m not a fan or love triangles or insta love at first sight. That being said Sadie is unlike the girls that Jax is used to meeting so it’s no surprise he would instantly fall in love with her. The author has done a great job creating a story that captures the imagination and flows along smoothly from start to finish. I enjoyed the book it was a quick read for me, hard to put down I just had to know how it was all going to play out. It’s your traditional contemporary romance very “Maid in Manhattan” or “ Pretty woman” story rich guy poor broken girl. Maybe that’s why I enjoyed it because those are both two of my favorite must watch movies. I also like the fact the story is a clean romance which means teens as well as adults will fall in love with the book. I’m looking forward to exploring her other books. I already have the next book on my kindle ready to go and I cheated to make sure the next one was about the boy she didn't pick.....can't wait.
