Sorry guys, as far as the series, I am really enjoying it. I love the characters, the writing style, the stories! Everything is amazing and I had been wanting to do a buddy read for a long time. Hopefully this week is better because this past weekend wasn't that great for me. But literature is my great escape and it helps me unwind. I just love reading!

I'm finished! WHAT. A. CLIFFHANGER! I would've thrown the book if it were mine, but I just borrowed it, so that's a no no! Lol. Otherwise, the story's good, and more gods and mythological creatures are introduced! I liked that (view spoiler)[the Roman aspects of gods are explored and I came to understand the differences between them and the Greeks! (hide spoiler)] The book definitely left a lot of questions and I suppose anyone could figure out the cliffhanger at the end, but Idk, I didn't suspect it! It only seems logical, though but I didn't figure it out!

Overall, the pacing was just average and although there were tension and suspense, it didn't hold on to me that long!

Chapter 3 (view spoiler)[Wow, all these Roman stuff is overwhelming! One chapter and you could already guess how things work out in Camp Jupiter. I've been thinking, instead of cabins or bunker names, they call theirs legions. Also, Reyna (and supposedly Jason) seem to be the heads of the camp, they don't have somewhat a Chiron-like, if I put it correctly. From what I've observed, they are more serious and strict. Look just how they questioned Percy, even if Juno (Hera) introduced him, herself. I suppose this is because they are centralized on war amd armor. And the creatures can identify if you're Greek! Also, since I last read the Percy Jackson series last year and I couldn't remember some names, is Hazel really the sister of Nico in PJO? I remember in The Titan's Curse, she died during the quest! How did she live again? This is so interesting! Her dad being King of the Underworld still doesn't explain anything. (hide spoiler)]

I actually forgot, but some famous son of Jupiter made this legion and so on. Chapter 22: (view spoiler)[This is all so overwhelming! I never thought Sammy would be Leo's great grandfather. This was all hard to sink in... But even if Hazel doesn't admit it, she still feels a connection to Leo, somehow. And I meant it not in a way because Leo is related to Sammy... Like in an emotional way, like he reminds her of him (obviously). It's like Hazel hasn't moved on, yet, or just couldn't forget about him. Maybe because he's like her first love, that's why, but Idk... It's what I perceive of her. Anyway, this is all so hard to sink in.

Now that that part of the series is settled, I'm curious what Leo's destiny will be, being the rare demigod son of Hephaedtus bestowed with a fire gift... They said it's dangerous and the last one who was given was in the 1600s! (hide spoiler)]
