Heroes of Olympus Series by Rick Riordan - Restarting February 7th 2019
STARTING WITH
- APRIL 17Jason has a problem. He doesn’t remember anything before waking up in a bus full of kids on a field trip. Apparently he has a girlfriend named Piper and a best friend named Leo. They’re all students at a boarding school for “bad kids.” What did Jason do to end up here? And where is here, exactly?
Piper has a secret. Her father has been missing for three days, ever since she had that terrifying nightmare. Piper doesn’t understand her dream, or why her boyfriend suddenly doesn’t recognize her. When a freak storm hits, unleashing strange creatures and whisking her, Jason, and Leo away to someplace called Camp Half-Blood, she has a feeling she’s going to find out.
Leo has a way with tools. When he sees his cabin at Camp Half-Blood, filled with power tools and machine parts, he feels right at home. But there’s weird stuff, too—like the curse everyone keeps talking about. Weirdest of all, his bunkmates insist that each of them—including Leo—is related to a god.

I would like to join but does it follow on from Percy Jackson as I haven't read the last books yet?
This is a spin-off of the Percy Jackson series, so this has different main characters. However, Percy, Annabeth, and the rest are still present. When you said you 'haven't read the last book' yet, did you mean you haven't read 'The Last Olympian' - the 5th book in PJO? I suggest you finish PJO first as there might be spoilers. :)

I have not read that 1 yet- i think I may have too much to read at the minute to start a new series. I will join in next time
Yeah, that would be wise. Finish a series first, before starting a new one. It's really hard not finishing a lot! I'm currently experiencing it with Pretty Little Liars. Very lengthy series!
To be completely honest, I just started!Page 9:
“Leo,” Jason said, “you're weird.”
“Yeah, you tell me that a lot.” Leo grinned. “But if you don't remember me, that means I can reuse all my old jokes. Come on!”
Jason figured that if this was his best friend, his life must be pretty messed up; but he followed Leo into the museum.
I love this part!! Hahaha.
hahah that was my favourite part the first time I read it and I still giggled this time!
Ohmigooood!! I just started but I already love Leo Valdez!! Hahaha!
“You all right?” Leo asked. “You're not going to throw up over the side, are you? ‘Cause I should've brought my camera.” Oh Leo!!! Haha
Page 12: “Seriously,” Jason said, “are we friends?”
“Last I checked.”
Leo will remain one of your favourites throughout the whole series!

I was really interested in greek gods and stuff so maybe its just that.
I'm on chapter 6. Didn't read a lot yesterday.
How are you finding it, so far, Fabiola? :) I'm on Chapter 14 now.
Chapter 9 now and omg if I could read consecutively all day I would! Good series I must say. Tonight my bed, my pillow, and my iBooks app have a date...lol
I know! I was literally jumping on my bed while I was reading some scenes, hahaha!

I read this back in 2011 after only reading 2 books in Percy Jackson. Bad idea since there's a prophecy revealed at the end of the Last Olympian which is the focus of the Heroes of Olympus.I'm picking this up right now. Probably only get a few chapters done tonight xD

Finished the first book this morning and I'd forgotten how much I loved this series!

I'm a PJO/HoO nerd! lol. I haven't read this book for months but I know every detail about it...and same for the other books in this series. The books are just so freakishly awesome! :D
Well... My 13 year old niece, and 14 and 16 year old cousins decided to go surfing today...waves got a hold of them and pulled them in too far and deep. Lifeguards had to go rescue them. I'm a bit behind in my reading as a result but they are all home safe and sound.
So I guess we couldn't start Son of Neptune, yet, then. :) That's alright with me, actually. Cause I have another buddy read scheduled.
I'm pretty sure I'll be done with it by tonight.
Just got home from church. Skipping on the picnic because it's kind of cold over here and I'm just gonna finish this book. It's soo good! Every chapter has a good surprise or too! Definitely entertaining.
