Paula | 7 comments Two books same author...I must find them! Both are fiction.
One book: two brothers in love with same girl, one dies while hiking in an upright position...very memorable.
Second book: a man, (I think a writer) goes to a summer camp and meets a woman on the way there. She used to be a counselor at the camp and has an illness. She left the camp because of an accident.
Author is a male who loves the outdoors and that comes through in his writing. Both books were written in the last 5-6 years.

Fiction or nonfiction?

Normally we would ask you to start a separate thread for each book, but since these are by the same author it's probably easier to have it all in one thread, might set more bells ringing in people's minds.

Paula, are you still looking for these two books?

Paula | 7 comments Yes, but I've kind of lost hope!

Paula, what's the genre - romance, romantic suspense, erotica, murder mystery, thriller, etc.? For younger or older adults?

Are these two books part of a series - with some of the same characters?

Can you tell us more about the main characters - their jobs/background/personality/etc.?

Paula | 7 comments Not a series. No continuous characters. There were romantic relationships in both these stories but I didn't really think of them as romance novels. They were interpersonal stories woven with a love of nature in the prose. The characters were, in both books, outdoorsy people.

Paula | 7 comments Yes, thanks. It is an adult book. Many of those are young adult titles.

Paula | 7 comments Yes! Oh my gosh...I've been searching for so long! Thank you! I assume you have read them. I don't very often re-read books but these are titles I would like to re-read...loved both of them. Another re-read for me was Molokai by Alan Brennert. Check it out. Thanks again.

Great, glad we could help! Actually, I haven't read these books but found them with a Google search.

Paula | 7 comments Tell me your google magic! I searched many combinations of genre and key words last year when I started my search...had no luck.

I think the Google search was:

site:www.goodreads.com "two brothers" love same dies "hiking" outdoors

What seemed to help was removing "romance" from the search.

Paula | 7 comments I'm sure I tried that too...romance brings up all the corset busting titles! :D
Thanks again. Happy reading!
