She nodded her head. She went to her. "Abbie if you went anything you have to talk." She said,
Abbie's faced paled. She wrote on paper.'you wouldn't do that?'
"We might....." Daemon trailed off.
'No please no' she write.
She looked at him. She shook her head no.
"Fine Daemon if she'll play that way if you want anything you have to ask. If you want to do anything ask." She said.
He looked back to Dee then to Abbie.
"Anything to say?" Dee asked
"Abbie?" She said. Tears came to her face more. She couldn't hold in what she was feeling anymore.
"They think I'm sducidal." She said shaky. She looked at them. "They gave me medicine that makes me feel funny so I try to flush" she was crying. "I was alone. I don't need help all I need it the people who drove this to be there for me but they won't." She said. Crying.
"We are here, I promise," daemon said, giving her a hug.
"You were never there you were never mine. You were always Katy's." She said crying into his shoulder. "About that well um so I was cooking the cake and Katy said she wanted to like take a nap and said stay down here and she said she was fine upstairs and well before I guys I got here I checked on her and she wasn't there and the window was broken." Dee said. "I wanted this to be happy for awhile so don't freak out on me. I didn't know if this was the time to tell with Abbie coming home and stuff."
"What?!" He whipped his head around to look at Dee. "That's something she would do," he muttered. "Is it okay if I go look for her? Or do you want me to stay?" He asked gently, turning back to Abbie.
"The reason I checked on her was because I heard a muffled scream and I heard crash. I couldn't find my cell and you had yours and hers were gone and I was going to use the land line but the wires are cut." Dee said shaking. "I'm sorry I know I should of told you first thing I thought you need something good for awhile in your life."
"It's okay..nits not your fault," He said, before looking to Abbie again. "Do you want me to stay?" He repeated gently.
"Daemon the DOD has her" Dee said. She looked at him. She didn't know what to say. Would it be selfish to let him stay? She wanted him to stay. But Katy could be in trouble. Why would he care for her. She as just a burden.
"No," he said, completely turning to Dee. "No, that's not true," a look of true terror passed over his face.
"Why would Katy cut the lines so I couldn't call you? Why would she break the window to get out. No one else wants her but the DOD. We can't let them get to Abbie they might think she's unstable because if her anger problems."
"But Katy is already gone.... Do you think she was taken or did she offer herself? What if she was blackmailed?!"
"She was taken." Dee said
"Not good...." Daemon muttered. He was now pacing the room.
"I know this isn't good"
"How do we get her back? She is probably petrified right now... I don't even know how bad it was for her the last time, she wouldn't talk about it..."
"I don't know." She said.
"Did she talk about it with you?" He asked.
"I'm just going to go in and get, and Coe back out," he said, determined. "It's going to be that easy."
She nodded her head."You'll be alright?" Abbie whispered.
"Yes. And so are you, okay?" He said. He looked her in the eyes. "Don't do anything crazy or stupid while I'm gone, got it? Promise me you won't."
She couldn't lose him. She didn't say anything though.
"Promise?" He repeated. "Just two words."
She wanted him to stay. She bit her lip.
"Please?" He asked, worried she wouldn't. "I'll come right back,I swear."
"But what if you don't come back." She whispered.
"I promise I will, I promise I'll come back," he said, determined.
"But what if?" She couldn't lose him even more,
"Give my two hours. I'll bring her back in two hours. I'll come back to you in two hours," he said as he looked into her eyes.
"Two hours" repeated slowly. If he doesn't come back she'll be alone. She was nervous.
"Yes, just two. Can you promise me, Abbie? That nothing bad will happen?"
"I can't promise anything. If you don't come back I'll lose you even more" she whispered.
"But I will come back, I swear over my dead body. Hell over Dee's dead body," he said.
She looked up at him. She nodded her head slowly. "I promise,"
"Thank you," he said, relieved. He hugged her. "I'll be back," he said, grabbing a jacket and walking out the door.
