What is your personal "boogeyman"? Do you find stories with vampires, aliens or monsters the most chilling?

As for me, it depends on the books. The authors can make something I don't normally afraid of seem scary. Still, Vampires are the least scary in my idea.

Depends on how the novel is written! Some descriptions give me goosebumps.

I find psych thrillers scary as well, for example when i read Thr3e by Dekker, there was a part where a guy would follow the girl and stalk her, and lick the window of her house... freaky things like people watching you or shuffling noises

Demons...I will NOT watch a movie that has any demon possessions in it. TOO FREAKY!!! I've never seen The Exorcist, for example, and I never will!

I ALMOST didn't read The Sweet Trilogy because it mentioned demons but I thought maybe I'd give it a try and if it was too creepy I'd just quit. But it wasn't creepy like I was worried about. In fact, it's one of my favorite series. LOL
