Are people too busy these days? 3 book suggestions? 2 of those from moderators? Hmmmmmm I was on a kick this month and already read both books. I'm starting the Guardian now. Hopefully we will all participate a lot more in the summer.

I would like to suggest Traces of Mercy by michael Landon Jr.

I always hate to suggest because I usually suggest a book I've already read. But here goes, I absolutely loved [book:Me Before You by Jo Jo Moyes. I would suggest that for a group read.

I hope you like The Guardian. I did a pre read for Desert Book and I didn't enjoy it much. I would like to see a discussion on it and find out what others think. Maybe I missed something?

I saw that there were 3 or 4 book suggestions and decided not to add another because the more books, the less likely mine is to be picked... and, like Carri, I don't like to recommend a book I haven't read yet. I'm happy to vote on the ones already suggested though!

I realized the voting has closed for May but I wanted to suggest the book 12 Years a Slave by Soloman Northup. I just finished it and although it deals with a tragic theme the character is endearing and clever in his way of dealing with trials. Because it was written so long ago the language and violence are written about in a delicate way.

I had to turn in The Guardian and couldn't renew it. Bummer. I can comment on the small part I read, but other than that, I won't be much help.
