Bella's story. (view spoiler)[Renesme is growing quickly. After three months she is the size of a toddler but thinks and acts like an adult. Irina saw her from a distance abd thought she was an immortal child and told the Volturi that she is one. Tgey are coming in a month. Alice and Jasper have left the Cullens, but the rest if the Denali clan is in Forks with Edward, Bella, Jacob, and Renesme. The rest of the Cullens are talking to their friends and asking them to see Renesme. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 31-39:
(view spoiler)[I like that there wasn't a fight. I like that Bella is a shield, and Renesme's gift is the opposite of both Edward's and Bella's gifts. Some of the other vampires have interesting gifts, too. I'm glad that Kate has Garrett now, and Sueand Charlie are also a couple. (hide spoiler)] (view spoiler)[Renesme and Jacob will be alive for a long time. Maybe not as long as the vampires, but it will still be centuries. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 16: (view spoiler)[ I love the Cullen family so much! They're all so sweet, Esme and Carlisle are my absolute faves. I love how much Esme adores Bella!! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 18: (view spoiler)[ The baseball game sounds like so much fun! Emmett is amazing, I wish he got to feature more strongly in the rest of the book. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 24: (view spoiler)[ It really is a bit ridiculous that they let it get this far. Edward is way to stubborn about it! (hide spoiler)]

Finished: (view spoiler)[ Ugh, I hate that the book ends with Jacob. And Edward is so sweet to him. I really am not a Jacob fan at all, and unfortunately next book I have to put up with even more of him!! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 13: (view spoiler)[ Jasper's past is so interesting, although I really think he should have gotten to the point and then had his heart to heart with Bella... I'm still glad that we learnt more about him though! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 23: (view spoiler)[ Ugh Jacob is so irritating! Although it was good that he finally got to talk to Edward properly, because they don't actually do much of that. (hide spoiler)]

Finished: (view spoiler)[ There is actually quite a bit of action packed into that ending, in contrast to the rest of the book!! But I'm really annoyed with the epilogue, it's just so unnecessary...> (hide spoiler)]

Starting a re-read of this series today, since I still have the old books. But, it's been years. I remember liking Alice and Carlisle a lot the first time around. Was never particularly interested in Edward and Bella. Stephenie Meyer's ability to world-build and write in First Person Point of View is absolutely amazing to me.

I forgot I had packed my copy of Twilight in a box ready for when we move house. So I just bought a copy from Audible I hope the narrator is really good :)

25% (view spoiler)[I am struggling to like Bella and Edward because even after all these years I still feel the dislike I had for them when I watched the movies. Part of the reason for this is because the narrater on the audio version uses almost the same voice for Edward as she does for Bella. Edward sounds like a pathetic girl. (hide spoiler)]

Finished: (view spoiler)[I didn't enjoy the syrupy insta love side of the story but I liked the rest of the book.
The family the vampires have been able to build for themselves and the different abilities of each vampire was interesting.
Although we only get a small glimpse of the Quileute tribe I can see this will play a large part in future books.
Little Jacob is growing up he seems so cute.

Chapters 1 - 5 done (view spoiler)[ive read this so many times but it's been a while. I sympathize with Bella and her chronic clumsiness. It may seem funny but I am the same as her in that aspect.

I kept laughing when Bella would day dream about moving to a warm place for college. I wanted to tell her: it ain't gonna happen girl!

I must admit even though I am hard core #teamjacob, Edward is a cutie in this book. I kinda missed him. (hide spoiler)]

I wonder if Edward was human if she would have even noticed him. Or that the fact that he is a vamp is what attracted her to him in the first place. (hide spoiler)]

I don't know if I ever paid attention to the part where James speaks about Alice. But it was like for the first time I realised what happened to her. I probably forgot. I thought James was her creator but apparently not. (hide spoiler)]

100% (view spoiler)[I love this series. I haven't listened or read this book in a long time. I love how Bella and Edward finally meet and she learns his secrets. I love how the Cullens are with her. And I especially love the baseball game in the thunder storm. I'm glad I'm listening to this series again.
