i remember that the book is about a post apocalyptic world were a girl goes out for a run outside the walls and sees 'elders' shoot a fairy. they see her and she runs away with immense speed. She goes deep into the forest and meets a fairy who helps her and then a vampire. she gets back in the walls and goes to school... fast forward and she finds out she is a 200 year old fairy not a 16 year old girl and that she is some special title and then people find out and she saves the day along with her new found brother and others.
sorry it may be a bit mixed up in the plot and such but a fact about the book in the book fairies cant touch iron as they react to it, oh and she also hides a vampire in her wardrobe at one point thanks and sorry again...
