♫ Tina ♫ | 192 comments id say Harry Potter like probably everyone else in this group! the last book in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn is nothing compared to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows...i mean have you notice tht in the HPatDH many characters die..nawt the main characters like the trio.. but Lupin and Fred :'(, and Snape...while in Breaking Dawn nobody dies! The Hp series' plot is wayy more detailed, with tons of plots...while Twilight only has the main romance between Edward and Bella..even HP has romance(if ya have seen the 6th movie ya know what i mean) so what are yr thoughts on why HP is betr then Twi..anythin i missed other than horrible writing style??

Simona-- I'm kind of intense (completelyinsane) | 806 comments exactly. SM needs some writing lessons from JK Rowling.
lesson 1: don't build up to a big scene in the book/movie or whatever... and then be too lazy to carry though with it.

Highd To me SM didn't get lazy she just couldn't deliver the goods. She cared more about her feelings towards the characters then she did about telling a good story. For her it was about giving life to characters she dreamed about and writing for herself.

You can tell a lot about a writer by the way they treat fans and when they are interviewed. Stephen King for example is outstanding to his fans. When you get a book by him you felt like he wrote it for you. In most forwards he talks directly to you to tell a story or just thank his "constant readers" for hanging in there with him once again for another crazy ride.

JK Rowlings has never been shy about how she was not only writing because she loved the world she was creating but she also gives a lot of the credit for the books to her daughter. To me it seemed that I was a part of her family as she wrote because I actually felt like her publishing Harry Potter was something she was sharing with the world and I was being given a gift.

Stephenie Meyer however is so wrapped up in how she feels, and bringing to life her sexual fantasies, and also preaching her religion she forgot that other people were a long for the ride with her. She is by far the most selfish and untalented writer that has become famous.

She could have told a very good story, I will be honest the Twilight serie had good bones. She just couldn't put the meat on the bones and didn't know how to craft a story, while leaving herself out of it.
