Anyone Have A Book Blog?
Authors as Desserts IIIHave you ever thought that if so and so was a dessert they would be an apple strudel?
Here are 8 authors and the desserts that in my opinion their writing corresponds to.

"Book blog" .... This can be taken two ways: 1) a book reviews blog; or 2) an author's blog about his/her book. For those in category #1 looking for category #2, here's my blog related to my nonfiction espionage thriller. There's a fair mix of spycraft (i.e., invisible ink, money laundering), James Bond connections, and WWII history with a real MI6 agent. http://www.larryloftis.com/#!blog/cldv

Hello all, please take a look at my book blog http://bathtimereads.wordpress.com
I mainly read and review thrillers, but also occasionally dabble in other genres. I'm fairly new to blogging, so please let me know if if you have any tips for improving my blog!
Thanks
Cait
I have a book review blog that focuses on new releases and upcoming titles. Lots of thrillers right now because there's a ton of them coming down the pike this summer.

http://rowingrabbit.booklikes.com/I'm a big fan of mystery, thriller & police procedurals & post reviews aimed at readers like myself, hopefully to help you decide which ones are worth your hard earned $$$.
I'm an eBook author with a third book in the Gordan Hudde series about to be released. Love to have people check out new cover at Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/markhudsonau...Contact me here or at my blog: http://www.markhudsonofficialsite.com/
thanks!
Thank you for reading this!!! I appreciate any comments and interest and really appreciate any! I wrote the novel, "The Angel's Claw." I'm a touring Stand Up Comedian and created my novel from events on stage and the things, (negative and positive) that I attracted on stage. I've been teaching comedy writing for 25 plus years. The five principles I teach were the outline for my 1st novel about angels and demons the forces they wield and the broken homeless man the angel's protect and the demons, hunt!

Cait, I like your blog, presents well, esp. what you say about Gillian Flynn - her sassy lines and all-too-real characters. I too read Gone Girl after all the buzz, and plan to read more of GR.Not yet seen what you can improve.
I just wrote this blog post about bizarre books.10 Bizarre Books — http://guyportman.com/2016/08/26/biza...
Hello everyone! I am new to the group and went through all of these delightful bloggers pages. It made me very sad to see so many were no longer running, or had not posted in more than three months. I have been blogging for about 5 years now, but it took me a few years to harness my eclectic personality and refine my focus. I have really gotten my focus in the last two years and post a weekly author interview/ character spotlight/guestpost, book reviews almost weekly, a weekly poetry post, and I also provide a weekly email newsletter so people don't have to chase my posts down three times a week ;)
Most of my posts are about fiction, but an occasional non-fiction book slips in! I am an eclectic reader, so there are authors and book reviews running the gamut from Thrillers to Sci-fi and Fantasy, to Western and Romance. Feel free to check out An Angell's Life and get the weekly newsletter in your inbox by subscribing!
Is there anyone who hosts blog tour stops? I'm putting a book blog tour together and I'm looking for participating bloggers. Please email me at diamondmpresspublications@gmail.com Thanks!
I recently updated my Blog and will be doing a Fall Book post over the weekend that will feature two of our members books.http://whatchatreadin.blogspot.com

Dominique, I am happy to host a stop, but only if the author is willing to work within what I already offer (Author interview, Guest Post, Character Spotlight, or would like a book review.) I am typically booked out about a month.
I don't do cover reveals or sample chapters, because I have found that my readers aren't too keen on them.
Cosmos wrote: "How long have you been an author, Heidi?"Cosmos, I have been writing since middle school, had lots of small projects published in magazines and newspapers and such through college, but started publishing books in 2011.
Cosmos wrote: "You're so welcome. I bet it has been. I'm sort on an amateur writer myself!"That is awesome! Keep at it, and someday you won't be an amateur ;)

Hi Lorrea, clicked on your blog link, and I'm happy I did because your review of Jodi Picoult's Small Great Things has persuaded me to give the book and this author another try. I was so very disappointed in her novel, The StoryTeller. I thought I wouldn't read another novel by her again. I'm going to read this one however as soon as I can. Like you say, she does have a knack of picking up on the issues that are relevant and important. I guess with the StoryTeller, I just felt she trivialized an unbearable, incomprehensible historical horror.
I just started my blog: www.foureyedmonkey.wordpress.com
I'm someone who likes to follow back, so if I haven't had a chance to check out your blog I'll eventually get to it. Just be sure I find you link :)
Hope to make some new connections.

Hi Lo..."
Glad to hear that Joanna. Another great book of hers is
. I'm not sure if it was her first book, but it was the first one I read by her. This is also a movie with Cameron Diaz. I have read many of her books and they always seem to be ripped from the headlines.
Hi, I recently opened my blog about books, technology and environmental issues. You may visit it at: http://www.oscarelion.com/blog

Nice blog Jennie - you should have mail from me!
Hi all,I just have my GR blog, which is reasonably active (post about 3-5 times per month).
I mostly talk about my Metaframe War series, but I also post some fiction snippets, and occasionally humorous pieces.
The blogging community is such a wonderful one! I've met so many supportive people through it, and I'm so pleased to have found more of them in this forum.I blog at https://kristentwardowski.wordpress.com/ where I share news about books, the publishing, industry, and writing. (And occasionally other things; today's post is about baking library shaped cakes.)
I do a month blog. Just started it finallyhttp://jessbymyshelf.blogspot.com/
I also have it on Facebook for all daily/weekly updates:
https://m.facebook.com/?_rdr#!/Jess-B...
I have a Books section on my website; http://www.penpowerwriting.com/Books.I have only recently got the site up and running but I will talk about books each month from now. They will be an 'anything goes' mix, sometimes just something off my bookshelf - I still have a lot there to read. But I will get into more recent fiction now I'm with GR.
I'm happy to review too.

Just got my blog up and running!. I will be posting frequently for the next couple of weeks in order to build up my content. Feel free to stop by and look around! http://toesinsandbookinhand.blogspot....
A bitter sweet moment. I'm very excited to have my blog up and running but it feels weird that this thread was created by Kerry. Dedicating my blog to her as it wouldn't exist without her.

I have followed those of you who use wordpress, but it may come under my other blog name (staceeytaylor.wordpress.com, just letting you know it's me!)
