Read to the end of page 22, and let me just say, I am confused.
(view spoiler)[First, let me just say that I love Bran. I want to read more about Bran and his direwolf! I flipped through a couple of the next chapters to see who we would be reading about and a.)I did not see Bran which makes me upset, and b.)I do not know a single person! There are so many new concepts and people being introduced that I can't remember them all! This is concerning to me due to the fact that I am on page 23. There are some parts so far where I am wondering if I need to try to remember it because it will be important, but there is already so much going on that I just know that I will end up forgetting different parts.

So, I'm not sure how the court system is going to work out. I believe that Robert is the overall king, and that the people like Bran's father are the class below them? I'm not sure. I hope that we learn more about it, because I am not certain that I know what is going on. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[There are so many characters, houses, and siblings, that I usually don't know who I am reading about until a couple pages into a couple pages into the chapter! This book is really confusing, and I think that that is why it is taking me so long for me to read this book. Just, it is really hard to remember everything. (hide spoiler)]
That being said, I think that I am going to start another book along with this one, due to the fact that this book will take me so ling to read.

I'm about 100 pages in, so much is happening! But, I watched the first season of GoT on HBO, so I have a sense of what's going on without a bunch of confusion.

I've been told that the show has deviated away from the books and that the show is now even ahead of the books since the book series is still unfinished.

Oh no!I probably wouldn't read this book if you are starting to feel a reading slump coming on because it is a lot to take in if you are not in the mood to take in. Also, it is 800+ pages. In my experience, this might not be the best book for you right now.

Not for me. Don't get me wrong, what I read of it was enjoyable. I just know that I won't like the book enough to make up for the amount of time that it will take me to read it. I can see why people love this series though! Maybe I will try it again in the future, but I am going to go read a book that I will enjoy more now. I hope you guys enjoy it though!
