"Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise" and "Have I gone mad? I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are." I love quotes
My favourite quote:"Now hatred is by far the longest pleasure. Men love in haste but they detest at leisure." - George Gordon Byron.
It's sums up my distain for the human race in a short two sentences that rhyme. It's perfection.
A few of my favourites are:"You are made out of comets and stars. Do not surround yourself with those who treat you like dirt and dust." -not sure where it's from but I just love it
"You are what you love, not who loves you." -Save Rock and Roll by Fall Out Boy ft. Sir Elton John
"If people were rain, I was drizzle and she was a hurricane." - Looking For Alaska by John Green
"I used to dream about escaping my ordinary life, but my life was never ordinary. I had simply failed to notice just how extraordinary it was." - Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

I have a lot of favorite quotes but here are a couple of them:“Is it fair to have given us the memory of what was and the desire of what could be when we must suffer what is?”
― Neil Jordan, The Dream of a Beast
“And now submarines are armed with mass murder, our silly, only way of deterring mass murder.”
― John Steinbeck, Travels with Charley: In Search of America
“We must never confuse elegance with snobbery”
― Yves Saint Laurent
I can't wait to see other people's quotes! :D
I forgot one of my favorite quotes of all time!“If a person has ugly thoughts, it begins to show on the face. And when that person has ugly thoughts every day, every week, every year, the face gets uglier and uglier until it gets so ugly you can hardly bear to look at it.
A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.” -Roald Daul
I have one wall in my room all filled with little pieces of paper with my favourite quotes on them... And my collection grows bigger every day! But there's one very special to me:
“For she had eyes and chose me.” - William Shakespeare, Othello
My favourite quote of all time is "Do not go gentle into that good night...rage rage against the dying of the light." - Dylan Thomas.I read it in Matched and have loved it ever since then :-)
My favorite quotes are; "not all those who wander are lost." -LOTR
"I can't explain what I mean. And even if I could, I'm not sure I'd feel like it." -The Catcher in the Rye
"I don't mind if you don't mind cause i don't shine if you don't shine" -The Killers/Read My Mind
"Wisdom's a gift but you'd trade it for youth." -Vampire Weekend/Step
Oh man I have so many but one of my all time faves is'But only fools refuse to see the faults in those they love.'
From Deltora Quest. It's actually helped me quite a lot when someone I love says/does something that offends me. :)

Oh man that is a beautiful quote. Another reason I need to read those books xD I swear it will happen one day! :)
I've never read Deltora Quest but that quote is so good! And I like a lot the one about ugly and good thoughts :)I don't think I have a favourite quote but I like Dr Seuss' quotes very much, especially "Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You", and "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose" :)

Haha bear in mind dragons were believed to be extinct so they don't actually show up properly until the last four books.

That's okay xD
My favourites are The dreams that you dare to dream really do come true
And
You are enough you are so enough its unbelievable how enough you are
Some days you're the lampost, some days you're the dog.-Allen Leech
It's not from a book, but it often makes me giggle and feel a little better.
my favourite one is "To be nobody-but-yourself - in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else - means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting." by e. e. cummingsi also like this one: "Your joy can fill you only as deeply as your sorrow has carved you." which i got from the fever series by karen moning but it was actually said by kahlil gibral.
"We do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside us something is valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch. Once we believe in ourselves we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the human spirit." also by e.e. cummings
and "Unbeing dead isn't being alive." also by e. e. cummings :)
I love quotes! I can easily spend hours just sifting through quotes on goodreads, finding the ones I like. I don't particularly have a favourite but I love this:
"I cannot fix on the hour, or the spot, or the look, or the words, which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun."
- Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice
I love Shakespeare's writing in general, but Much Ado About Nothing has a special place in my heart because Beatrice is just such a wonderful character: (I know this is technically a passage more than a quote, but I just had to share it.)
What fire is in mine ears? Can this be true?
Stand I condemned for pride and scorn so much?
Contempt, farewell, and maiden pride, adieu!
No glory lives behind the back of such.
And Benedick, love on; I will requite thee,
Taming my wild heart to thy loving hand.
If thou dost love, my kindness shall incite thee
To bind our loves up in a holy band.
For others say thou dost deserve, and I
Believe it better than reportingly.
Also this one:
"Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten."
― Neil Gaiman, Coraline

"Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow, creeps in this petty pace from day to day, and to the last syllable of recorded time; and all of our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death"
