ABANDONED. m/m book published after 2010, 2 boys meet and torn apart

m/m book published after 2010-2 boys meet in high school and get together,
one kid is tough and brash the other keeps within the rules. One day the
good kid gets outed and his family is furious. They end up shipping him to
Texas where a business associate lives with his wife. There son is in
prison. After he finishes school he gets an opportunity to work in NY.So he
follows through and has a prosperous life. The tough boy ends up homeless
and an addict. The boy in NY gets a call from his sister - they stay in
touch. His dad winds up in the hospital so he ventures to his birth place
to pay his respects. While he is there he thinks about his first true love.
Decides to look for him. He finds an old buddy who is married with a
daughter named Kitty, wife is Cat. He is a mechanic. He gives him ideas as
to where to find him. Good boy locates his love in a dilapidated warehouse
nodding. He gets him in detox and later moves him in with him in New York.
They have to deal with his addiction and see if they can truly love one
another.

Oh. I see the volumes of that anthology arose out of the M/M Romance Group - I would strongly suggest you ask in that group as they are probably more likely to recognize the story than we are here.
