Sally906 | 90 comments I've done cooking too - well directed hubby to do the chopping as although my wrist is heaps better, I don't want to aggravate it, I just combined everything to get the credit. Having a cold lunch (but it won't be hot now the monsoonal trough and torrential rain has arrived, so that was poor planning) I did a pasta salad and potato salad - Mr Woolworths did the green salad for me so all I have to do is open the packet tomorrow ;)

Picked up a Black Forest Yule log cake today, and 2 cooked chooks from the deli and the ham from the same Deli - so all set now and can take it easy tomorrow.

Wishing everyone else a relaxing Christmas and plenty of help for those that are having large gatherings :)

Thanks everyone! I hope your days have all been fabulous:) Ours has been - everyone's gone now after a huge few hours - fun, laughter; the twin girls painting our pregnant daughter's partner's fingernails with pink and green nail polish (one of their Christmas gifts) He is going to be such a great dad - he was having a great time with the girls, and they with him:)

Lots of food (oh so much left!) and drink, and more food and nibblies, and more food! lol What a wonderful day!!!

MichelleG (michellegreiss) | 1186 comments Sounds like a wonderful day Brenda.

We had lots of family come over too, but they've left now. It's so lovely to spend time with the kids... And sooo much food (I won't have to cook for days with the left overs lol).

Merry Christmas everyone :)

Sally906 | 90 comments Grand children have gone - wine is poured and feet are up!

Phew! Little Miss 2 ignored all her presents and honed in on a $2 shawl I brought her for her dress up box. She draped this shawl around her every which way - I also got her bright shiny children's necklace and bracelet beads which she mixed and matched with her shawl. The song vogue came to mind!

Her older brother Mr 5 got some sort of robot ball that he can control through his iPad - the ball rolls around as commanded and hops, croacks like a frog and even farts. He was in fits when he discovered this latter trick.

A good time had by all :)

Sounds like loads of fun Sally!!!

message 75: by Neko (new)

Neko Sounds like everyone has had a good Xmas day :)

Besides the hot weather mine was okay...Was a bit strange this year as most of my gifts were things to be given later on..When I got my haircut last week I was chatting with the hairdresser about presents and said mine were all kinda virtual which makes me feel odd...She actually didn't know how to respond! Lol

Not really virtual..But I'm taking my sister out to a resto...She'll pick between two different places and I'm footing the bill. My parents have got this new machine that they are renting as a trial (to buy) so I said I'd like to pay for a month or two worth of rent - I felt the strangest about this but they were both super happy about it too.

Ah, we all need to channel our inner Madonna at festive times Sally. Take lots of pix of the girl with her glam shawl, as it will be a treasured memory in future times.
