In this book, dialogue plays a huge role. It is from Miranda's perspective, so we are all basically there, in her town with her. From there the dialogue she uses transports us there, and puts us in her shoes. Then, the dialogue, reveals character, and brings up internal/external conflict. That is how dialogue in when you reach me contributes in this story.
