Elijah Academy was established in 1864 by Jonathan Elijah, a supernatural hybrid. He created the school for others like himself, so they would have somewhere to go and not worry about the danger of humans finding out. Because no humans are around. The town and the academy is hidden in the midst of the Elijan Mountains, and are full of supernatural species that attend.
He died in 1889, leaving the academy to his son, Caspar Elijah, who continued the school on for him. He had the blood of a hybrid because of his dad, which is why he was allowed to take care of it. He left it to his son in 1945, and in 1987 the son of his son took over and still does; Christoff Elijah.
When the academy started out it used to be the typical vampire, werewolf and witch that attended. Now, Elementals, angels, hybrids, sirens, etc all attend as well, as Elijah Academy is the best school for all supernaturals in the world.
