Natalie Martinez | 3 comments "It is now your duty to hone that talent. because a person who wasted his god-given talent is a donkey." I really like this quote because its very truthful. Its not beautiful lyrical writing but its something i enjoyed reading. The line reveals some stuff about two characters from the text. That Amir, the main character is an exceptional talented writer and he writes very good stories and a family friend who is very understanding towards his passion for writing telling him to keep on writing and not to waste his talent because that be stupid. It also gives a good lesson to people to not give up on their passions and talent.

Thanjinia Haque | 3 comments I agree, I really like that line, it's amusing. Also, I see it as good motivation to make someone not give up.

Maryam | 3 comments I agree with Neira and TJ, I believe that although that quote is simple it has a great amount of meaning behind it. I think that that quote is a way of foreshadowing future parts in the novel. I also think that if one has a certain amount of talent and does not use it to one's ability, it's basically like putting all hard work away.
