I recently saw the movie "Anne of Green Gables" (AAUW will be reading the book for their December 2009 discussion). I haven't read the book, but I enjoyed the 1985 movie, especially because Colleen Dewhurst was so fabulous in the part of the spinster (the adoptive aunt).
