You know what why don't you make sure that he also tells everyone that your his best friend, and if that doesn't work than tell them that they should mind their own business.
but these people are aso my friends and weve both told them its not true... its not like its a big deal but its really awkward
Well in these kind of situations I think it's better if you don't act like something awkward is going on you know, and maybe just ignore what they're saying because the more it's mentioned the more awkward it will become.

I would say to just not get embarressed when people talk about you liking him. If you blush or look embarressed than it just makes you look even more like you like him. That was my problem when my family and friends got like that not to long ago and eventually they believed me.
I feel ya. I'm that exact situation. I have just sort of learned to put up with it and let everyone believe it. We even make jokes about it now! So that's just what I do in your situation. I hope this helps!

I know this guy who is one of my best friends ever but everyone in the school thinks I like him... plus my entire family, but I don't. he also knows people say that and we both know its not true bt its awkward cuz if I like give him a hug everyone takes it like im in love with him but we r just friends plus he hass a girlfriend which makes it even weirder and idk how to convince people that I don't like him
