The Sith

The Sith Order was a sect of Force-sensitives who utilized the dark side of the Force. The term "Sith" originally referred to a species of aliens native to the planets Korriban and Ziost, who were later enslaved and ruled by exiled Dark Jedi from the Galactic Republic. These Dark Jedi had once been members of the Jedi Order, a monastic Force religion dedicated to peace through the use of the light side of the Force. The Dark Jedi, who refused to rely exclusively on the light side, challenged the Jedi by giving in to the dark side, which started the Hundred-Year Darkness. However, they had been defeated and subsequently exiled from known space, which led to their discovery of the Sith species. Following centuries of interbreeding and mixing of cultures between the aliens and the exiles, the Sith would no longer be identified by their race, but by their dedication to the ancient Sith philosophy. This religious order would survive in many different incarnations throughout galactic history. The rise of a new leader, or Dark Lord, would often cause drastic reorganizations in the cult, however the Sith would always be characterized by their lust for power and their desire to destroy the Jedi Order.

The Sith were the most infamous of all dark side religions, and the members of the cult were often seen as the pinnacle of power within the dark side. Throughout their long history, the Sith commanded several Empires and initiated many galactic wars. With such great influence, the Sith religion inspired many cults that weren't technically part of the Sith Order, nor did they consist of actual Sith. Instead, they were founded and made up of Sith devotees and other Force-sensitives dedicated to prolonging the teachings and the memory of the Sith. Such cults included the Naddists, the Disciples of Ragnos, and the Krath.


The Empire

In the aftermath of the Great Hyperspace War of 5000 BBY, the remnants of the original Sith Empire established a new Sith Empire in the galaxy's Unknown Regions. This Empire, also known as the True Sith sect, was created after Sith survivors of Dark Lord of the Sith Naga Sadow's disastrous campaign against the Galactic Republic fled known space to escape persecution by the Republic and its Jedi Order. Led by the Sith Lord Vitiate, the refugees wandered aimlessly through space in search of a new home. Twenty years after their departure from the original Empire's territory, the Sith discovered the forgotten world of Dromund Kaas and settled it to begin the process of rebuilding.

During the rebuilding process, Vitiate proclaimed himself to be the Dark Lord of his order and Emperor of his people. Under the care of the Emperor and his Dark Council of Sith Lords, the Empire established its capital of Kaas City and began building a mighty war machine, with the intent of eventually returning to combat the Galactic Republic once more. The Empire worked towards that goal for over one thousand years, gradually expanding and gaining more power and influence. During that time, the Sith were discovered by Jedi Knights Revan and Malak, who were forcibly turned to the dark side of the Force by the Emperor and became Sith. Although they were sent back to serve as the vanguards of the Empire's eventual invasion, they broke free from his conditioning and formed concurrently their own Sith Empire but the Republic defeated the two and their remnant, and knowledge of the Empire remained hidden.

Around three hundred years later, the Sith Empire—still under the command of Vitiate —was ready to return to the greater galaxy. After covertly installing puppet governments on Republic worlds across the Outer Rim Territories, the Sith invaded Republic space in an onslaught of unrivaled proportions.

After capturing and securing much of the Outer Rim in the early stages of what would become known as the Great Galactic War, the Sith Emperor began preparing for the push towards the Republic's bastion in the Galactic Core. Despite several setbacks in its campaign towards the core, the Empire surged forward once more, crippling the Republic economy through an alliance with the Mandalorian warrior clans. On the verge of victory, the Empire surprised the galaxy when the Dark Council extended an offer of peace to the Republic. Desperate, the Republic senate accepted, but during peace talks on Alderaan, the Empire launched a sneak attack on the Republic capital of Coruscant. The attack was a rousing success for the Empire, allowing the Sith to force the Republic to sign their draft of the document that would end the war, the Treaty of Coruscant.

With the war at an end and the Empire stronger than ever, the Emperor retreated from the public view and passed responsibilities of the day-to-day maintenance of the Empire to the Dark Council. As a result of the Empire's co-existence with the Republic, an interstellar Cold War emerged in the immediate aftermath of the Great War, during which time the Empire engaged in proxy battles and small conflicts with the Republic and its allies. When war did start up again, the Empire started to suffer catastrophic defeats that ranged from losing members of it's leadership, to infighting and internal struggles between power-crazed Sith Lords. It soon became just as vulnerable and desperate as the Republic it was fighting. By around 2000 BBY, the Empire had seemingly vanished from the galaxy, and the Republic had once again become the sole dominant galactic government.

Backstory : The Massassi were an ancient primitive warrior race that were enslaved by the Sith. They were originally a red-skinned humanoid race until Naga Sadow conducted cruel genetic experiments on them turning them into a race of fearsome, savage, hunchbacked predators. Despite this cruelty, the Massassi treated Naga Sadow as a god by building huge temples and palaces to honor their Sith Lord.
Kayoz cannot understand any species that do not wish to worship Death and The Sith and has made it his ultimate goal to obliterate any who he encounters. Merciless and unforgiving in his quest....he truly believes that all Jedi are evil.

Backstory : When Jace was ten years old, the world he was born and raised on (Ryloth), was attacked and conquered by the Sith and their army. During the invasion, Jace fought against the non-force sensitive soldiers, using the force to break bones and hurl objects at them. He used a hit-and-run tactic, never staying in the same place for too long. Eventually, a Sith found him and took him prisoners. It wasn't hard for the Sith to turn Jace to the dark side, given that Jace's family had already been killed. The Sith sent Jace to the Training Academy on Dromund Kaas. When he got there he was faced with stiff opposition from the other students, but he quickly rose to the top. He became an apprentice when he turned fifteen.

Backstory : Zara was a fierce fighter, well feared throughout the galaxy for he mastery of Sith Sorcery. She fought alongside Naga Shadow during his attempt to conquer the galaxy. She was on her way to a major battle when she noticed something strange. The balance of the force was severely changed, and so was the galaxy. It didn't take her long to realize that she must have traveled through time, to a point tens of thousands of years in the future. It was quite obvious that Naga Shadow either failed, or the Sith's control was just short lived. She went back to Dromund Kaas and found that the Sith still existed there, and so she joined their ranks.

History: Kaya'Powaqa (Kaya for short), served for many years as a faithful Jedi, being one to avoid conflict and preferring mediation. Some of her contemporaries even wondered at points if she carried a lightsaber - but those who had ever seen her lightsaber drawn knew she was a capable warrior. The first form of lightsaber combat she ever learned was vaapad, despite the protests of the Jedi council. And as a side-effect of her preferred style, Kaya found herself filled with doubt, rage and anger; vestiges of the emotions she felt during combat, channeled with vaapad.
Kaya eventually came to resent the Jedi council for their constant persecution of her for her emotions and left the Order. She now traipses around the galaxy, mainly staying in solitude or keeping a low profile. She is now prone to bouts of anger and random violent out-lashes.

He serves under Darth Vader with no questions asked even though Darth Vader has betrayed him many times in the past. He has voices in his head telling him to break away from Darth Vader, but he ignores them knowing Darth Vader is more powerful than him. He does Darth Vader's bidding and is his go-to guy. He is powerful for his age, but loves mischief. Blake trusts Darth Vader with his life and thinks he's his father. Darth Vader hasn't told him who his real father was and what his origins are. He found out after meeting his mother on a distant planet near the Deathstar. After that he became his own Sith leader and tried to take out Darth Vader, but failed.

He longs for a master to teach him the art of Sith sorcery which he found in a tome while stranded on the planet of Ambria, where the Sith'ari Darth Bane was defeated, and is now used a final resting place for the Sith. Dreyl can now be found meditating on the planet while searching for a way off as well as a possible call from a Sith master.

As I breaks my meditation I spot a scavenging vessel flying just inside the atmosphere. I send up a force flare, one of the first and easiest spells of Sith sorcery one can learn, a few moments later the ship lands within a few dozen meters. I walk over to it, hiding my lightsaber, and greet the crew. They agree to take me to the nearest inhabited planet. Once back in the vacuum of space I show my true colors and unleash my rage, slicing a few and biting limbs off others. once the deed is accomplished I buckle in and set course for Yavin IV, to greet my new master and duties.

By 10 years old, she had attracted enough attention from the police that she knew it was time to start finding new tricks. So one day she paid a drunk man in a pub to tell her about the Sith. He didn't tell her what she wanted to know--and she got angry and used the Force to hit him with a wineglass. With these newfound skills, she couldn't help but attract even more attention, this time by a Sith, who recruited her into the order.

Backstory: Vice as a child was raised on the propaganda of The Empire. Yet through all of what they taught him between the differences of The Empire and the Rebellion he only grew more curious of the war. As the years went by, vice decided it was time to enlist in the empire as a storm trooper. During this time Vice had seen his first live battle within the ranks of the Empire, this would also be where his powers awakened. It had been the third day of a losing battle, where his platoon were surrounded by the rebels. Vice had already lost a lot of men who were close friends of his. Not only the emotional stress but the pressure from the rebels caused him to manifest a area of hatred which lit a glimmer of the force within him. The Rebels moved in to take Vice and the remainder of his platoon hostage but an unaccounted factor was placed in their way. A Sith Lord. This unmentioned Sith made quick work of the Rebels as he liberated the platoon from capture. She looked at the troops and told them, "We're leaving. The attack was a failure and there's no need to lose anymore squadrons." Afterwards the Sith ushered them to the extraction point. Upon boarding the Sith looked Vice over, "You... What's your name?" Vice looked at the woman and gestured to himself in which she responded with a nod. "My names Vice... Vice Kuzan, and thank you Sir. You saved us back there." She shook her head, "There's no reason for you to thank me. I only did what was asked if me. Although... You should consider joining me." She looked Vice dead in the eyes, "I see great potential within you. Great things await those tied to the force." A few years after Vices first battle he was accepted into training by the Sith. Here he began his training as an Apprentice of the Sith Order.
