This book essentially articulates the quote from Tommy Lasorda:

"I believe that managing is like holding a dove in your hand. If you hold it too tightly, you kill it, but if you hold it too loosely, you lose it."

The two main arguments are:
a) balance performance with humanity and kindness and
b) that managers overestimate their own abilities and they cannot see how they are perceived by others.

Are there any examples of great leaders/managers that have inspired you?
