Frost has a very valid point: life all has to do with having hope in something that you are extremely passionate about. It relates directly to the statement everyone in the universe has heard at least once as a child that our parents used to say when we were trying to figure out what our life was going to look like: “Never give up on achieving your dreams; if you believe in yourself, you can make your dreams come true”. It’s all about instilling hope in someone. Without someone having hope in their dreams or having hope in their own abilities, life seems boring and uneventful without any goals. However, like everything in life, every good thing like holding on to dreams has consequences. Sometimes holding onto dreams can be dangerous because sometimes people’s dreams are too extreme or too unrealistic for our success driven society. For example, a dream that I have always had was to be a singer in Hollywood, but it turns out I do not have the necessary skills involved in becoming a singer such as years of endless training. That’s where having hope and believing in something can be hurtful because while it gives you something to look forward to in life, it also can crush your spirit at the same time.
