AlegnaB † (alegnab) | 33 comments I went to a page here for a certain author (not a GR author), clicked on the link to his website, and looked at the books listed. I looked at the books listed here for him and noticed that a bunch of the books appeared to be by other people. So, I emailed the author. I told him what I found and told him I could separate his books by creating a separate page for him but that I'd have to either add an extra space between his first and last name or add an initial (I also gave him the link to the GR author webpage, in case he would like to join and take care of it himself). He suggested I add an initial to his name. So, that's what I'm planning to do. There is no quick way to do that, is there? I'm thinking that I'll have to go into each edition of all of his books and individually change each one. Is that correct, or is there a quicker way?

disambiguate is what you want,

it sounds like you have already started, so you won't be able to use the initials name in the "new author box" you will have to use a temp. name e.g: John Doe - John Doe 2, then rename the temp author profile.

AlegnaB † (alegnab) | 33 comments I hadn't made any changes, so it was a simple and quick change. Thanks a lot for the help!
