SOLVED. Girl poses in furs for old man [s]

I don't even remember the rest if the book. It was plain adult / literary fiction but the opening was the young girl being close friends with an old man who owned a fur store. He would have her pose for him in the furs. She was a little chunky and not popular, but felt happy post for him. One day he says they can't do that anymore because people will think bad things. She quits and doesn't see him anymore. That's only like chapters one and two, but that's all I remember.
