J.W. Garrett’s Austenesque Lovers TBR Pile Reading Challenge 2016 YTD Tracker [continued]Guys...in looking over my list [as I checked it twice] I found where I did not list 2 books. OMG, I was already there and didn't know it. If someone is checking my GRs list with what I've put in the Challenge, I believe you will see that these have not been listed before. In fact, I put the number placement where they should have been. It will then match my GR list. WOW!!! Here they are...
100) To Capture Mr. Darcy: Elizabeth Ann West: 4-stars [should have been # 74]
101) An Heir for Pemberley: Jane Grix: 5-stars [should have been # 92]
I am on 102 right now and will write my review today!!! Thanks for your support. JWG

Austenesque Lovers TBR Pile Reading Challenge 2016 YTD Tracker [continued]102 A Fine Stout Love and Other Stories
103 Darcy's Denial: A Pride and Prejudice variation
I finished reading Amy's/Alex9903's Plan B yesterday but she is away and hasn't gotten back to me about publishing a review. It is another long one with a very unique twist rending the story in half in the middle...funny and, in my book, clever.
Plan B: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...Librarian Note: Allowable per new AHA guidelines effective on July 1, 2016.
I need to sum up new guidelines for y'all from private discourse with AHA - no need to contact author for each story each time you want to review.
"...anything prior to July 1st is really the author's responsibility to have the entire listing taken down should they not want the reviews. After July 1st, anyone who does not want their story reviewed at Goodreads is supposed to post a request at the beginning of the story. As long as readers/reviewers pay attention to who would prefer not to be on Goodreads, then they're fine."
"If the author does not clearly state preference at the beginning of the story, there is certainly nothing to moderate, and offsite reviews thus would not break any rule."
THE ONUS IS ON THE AUTHOR TO SPELL OUT RESERVATIONS ABOUT OFF-SITE REVIEWS.
...and Alex/Amy is GR friendly :)
I will not add fanfiction for anyone that does not follow the new guidelines.

Thanks, Mary! Another fantastic holiday.

Yay for JW! How fun that you made it and were past and didn't realize. Another occupant for Mr. Bennet's library. Woohoo!

Very clear! Thank you, Nicole. That is helpful to know and will keep everyone (authors/readers) happy hopefully.

Nicole, I had the feeling you'd eventually weigh in on this and clear things up, and you just have. We're so blessed to have you in our group! Thank you!
I said this on the other site but again - thank you for clarifying this for all of us. I appreciate all your hard work and efforts to please.
@DebbieHa - I had no choice but get involved! I was the one being attacked on AHA because the author who freaked out did not understand GR or that I was acting in the capacity of a librarian. It was eventually deemed that it was not against AHA policy or copyright (I was right), but new policy was put in place due to a few authors not wanting their stuff on GR. Per GR, fanfiction will be removed at author's request. But that was not enough for the more sensitive. Enter new policy. Most of the ranting on AHA was by people who did not know what was actually going on and/or do not understand what GR is in the first place. I was behind scenes in private relating information on GR and AHA. It was all blown out of proportion. It was crazy. But over now.
***If any one was wondering, Juliecoop does not want her stuff on GR so it was all removed :(

Taila, I'm getting the same thing and here is how I do it. When you see that you have an email from GR, minimize and go to GR and log in. You can then go back to your email and click on the option and it will take you directly to where the new notifications are talking about. Any time I open my computer and go to email, I at the same time log in to GR. It saves time and I hope this helps. JWG
140. Darcy and Elizabeth: A Promise Kept - 4 stars141. Chaos Comes to Longbourn: A Pride and Prejudice Variation - 5 stars

I like that there are so many 5 stars here. I am just reading Win, Lose or Darcy and want to read Chaos Comes the Longbourn and Impertinent Strangers. Congratulations on these good reads in JAFF.
Love seeing your update for the challenge Debbie. I can see you ratings at a glance and trot off to get your book thoughts, too. :)
Ha! I've got four of those five on my list to read and love seeing the high ratings.

I think you all might find this funny. I am in the process of adding several advanced reader copies to my to read list on GR. The last one I was adding was called Book of Joy. I did a search for Book of Joy, and guess what the first book was that came back in the search results: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. It has absolutely nothing to do with the book I was looking for, but it sure has been my Book of Joy for a very long time... LOL
Way To Go Debbie. That list sure is growing, and I see several that I want to add to my... growing and growing... TBR pile. Thanks guys. JWG

146. The Fire at Netherfield Park - 5 stars

That may be true but I need to take a break so I can do laundry. I've run out of underwear...LOL.
Debbie wrote: "Aw, just go commando and read! Priorities, missy!!!"I am so roaring...I know exactly how that goes...no reason the leave the house....personal grooming suffers...but no one around to care!
Debbie wrote: "What? Doesn't everybody do it at one time or another? ; )"Debbie, The ONLY time is when I have to wait for the dryer. LOL!!!
Mary, sorry for the shock. I bet you do have words but maybe can't share them here. What fun...I love this group. You guys are hilarious. Again, Sheila, what have you gotten me into?
Laughing...you may back out slowly, looking neither left or right but don't trip on the edge of the rug!

Haha, that's funny about the re-read. I've done that before I started keeping notes and reviews on books I've read. Glad it was good a sec..."
Not at all, I am bowing to you in obeisance as I understand. I have a CAR personality myself...compulsive-anal-retentive. Yeah, wish I had utilized a spreadsheet. Instead, I created a Word document following a particular author and from A-Z listed each book I had read, a synopsis, and then as she started reissuing books in bundles or under other names, I went back in and added the new names. I use the 'find option' in Word to locate what I need. Yeah, it's a bear at 34 pages. CAR personality...that's me.
As the others have stated...do your own thing. As a former teacher, I have to organize something and it is my book list. You DO NOT have to do this. I just love lists...that's kind of sad really. LOL!
Remember the troops out there protecting the world. Happy 4th to the US and have a great weekend to all who read this.
