Wow, you read a lot! I forgot to write that I finished Overheard as well and loved it too.

Debbie (dmbrown) | 849 comments That's funny! I skipped Overheard, too - actually read it several weeks ago but had forgotten to put it on my list at that time.

I kept almost finishing it. The ending of 5% took me several attempts to get through because I kept getting interrupted.

Whoa...2 away from your goal - fantastic! That will take no time. I am interested in the 4 and 5 star reviews you posted and will have to check them out...Love Lessons...sounds delicious.

Great batch of books read, Talia. You're really on a roll with the Melanie Schertz books. :) I loved Wendi Sotis' Promises.

Woots, Debbie! Amazing numbers. You and your book budget sounds like me. I try to stick to books I already have or free or inexpensive, but sometimes...one just has to buy it. :)

Oh yes, clipping right along.

Mmm, I'll have to check out Darcy's Continental Escape. Sounds exciting!

message 758: by Erika (new)

Erika (eureeka75) | 167 comments Sophia, though it had its usual grammatical errors, it was a unique variation and showed a less arrogant Darcy. I adored Lady Matlock, Col Fitzwilliam, Elizabeth, and Darcy!!!!

Sophia (sophiarose) | 1167 comments Mod
Even better! Thanks, Erika!

message 760: by Erika (new)

Erika (eureeka75) | 167 comments They are younger than in canon. Darcy and Richard are just out of university their Grand Tour, and I beleive Elizabeth is only 18-19 y/o. So Darcy hasn't been inundated with the women of the ton yet!!!

message 761: by Sophia (new)

Sophia (sophiarose) | 1167 comments Mod
How fun! Now I'm curious what their younger selves will get up to. :)

message 762: by Erika (new)

Erika (eureeka75) | 167 comments All good, very mature for their age and circumstances!!

It went on the list. :)

Are any of those high ratings?

message 765: by Erika (new)

Erika (eureeka75) | 167 comments Sheila I have them listed with my ratings in my YTD tracker.

message 766: by Debbie (last edited May 02, 2016 06:05AM) (new)

Debbie (dmbrown) | 849 comments I saw lots of 4-star ratings in there. Yay you, Erika!

message 784: by Sheila (new)

Sheila Majczan (sheilalmajczan) | 700 comments I have not yet read it. But it does look interesting from the skimming I did while copying it. Has anyone else read it? I am reading Promises (a long one) by Wendi Sotis. She wrote The Gypsy Blessing

No, that is the one I added. I had link. The other one mentioned above, Another Dawn, is the one I cannot find complete version of on fanfiction.

I loved Promises.

I really liked Promises.

message 789: by Claudine (new)

Claudine DiMuzio / Just Jane 1813 | 224 comments Now I must read II if you all enjoyed it so much!!

message 790: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (dmbrown) | 849 comments I wish I was rating and writing reviews regularly when I read Promises. I know I read it twice and I know I really enjoyed it (just like all of Wendi Sotis' books), but it was back in 2013 and now I don't even remember the storyline! Guess that should go in my To Be Re-Read pile!

message 791: by Nicole (last edited May 06, 2016 06:48PM) (new)

Nicole Barton Sasser (bartonsasser) | 134 comments I read in 2012. If you see my reviews, or lack thereof, you know I rarely actually leave one unless I have strong feelings one way or another or something very particular to say. I usually just rate. But mine said...

(rated 5 stars)
"The only way to describe Promises is… exquisite torture. I absolutely loved the author’s depiction of the William and Elizabeth in the beginning and was in agony throughout their separation. I have not had such a strong reaction to the angst of their relationship since the first time I read Abigail Reynolds’s Mr. Darcy’s Obsession or The Last Man in the World, which are favorites. Loved, loved, loved this! I have just purchased a Kindle, due to the bowing of my two bookshelves with P&P related novels, but I will have to buy this in paperback too."

@ Debbie - definitely worth a re-read!!!

message 792: by Nicole (last edited May 06, 2016 06:47PM) (new)

Nicole Barton Sasser (bartonsasser) | 134 comments Man! now I want to re-read it, lol.

message 793: by Erika (new)

Erika (eureeka75) | 167 comments Nicole, I'm not sure you'll find the link for Another Dawn on Fanfiction.net. It looks like the author, Susan J Barra (sbarra, SusanJBarra, SusanJN, SusanGrace), took all of her stories off Fanfiction.net. I just looked cause I have a several of them on PDF. Sorry

message 794: by Sheila (new)

Sheila Majczan (sheilalmajczan) | 700 comments I just read Another Dawn, 56 pgs. I was not impressed. Not developed well. More like jottings for a story. Didn't take long to read but can't say that I would recommend it.

I bought a lot of Wendi's books from Smashwords about a year and a half ago when she was having a sale. Promises was one of them but it's been sitting on my Kindle ever since waiting for me to get around to it. Sounds like it needs bumping up the TBR list! I absolutely loved The Gypsy Blessing.

message 799: by Sheila (new)

Sheila Majczan (sheilalmajczan) | 700 comments The Gypsy Blessing is the only other one of hers I have read and since I enjoyed the two I read by her I must get to the others.

message 800: by Debbie (last edited May 07, 2016 07:34PM) (new)

Debbie (dmbrown) | 849 comments Yippee! I'm officially allowed into "Mr. Bennet's Library" now!!!

100. To Capture Mr. Darcy: A Pride and Prejudice Variation Novel - 4 stars
101. North and South - 3 stars (Sophia- is this considered JAFF? I can see the similarity, but I'll pull it from my list if it doesn't meet others' criteria)
102. A Conversation Behind the Tapestries: A Pride and Prejudice Variation - 3 stars
103. The Road to Understanding: A Pride and Prejudice Vagary - 5 stars
