SOLVED. Name of Fantasy book involving an evil queen searching for her dead sisters daughter who will fulfill prophecy (Book Name : Hidden Stars) [s]

Hello and thank you to anyone who can help me remember the name of this book

What I remember of the book

The book If I remember correctly is about this Queen searching for her sisters (who died) daughter because she will fulfill some prophecy or be the next queen

The queen did some ritual 100(?) years ago and gained great power but the power is dark power and is slowly corrupting her I think. She thinks she is a god now of the moon or sea maybe? I believe the queen does not age

She has like 9 special priests who worship her and one of the priests was once a prince/wizard whom the queen liked when she was young but I don't think he liked her so when she came to power she changed him and now he worships her. His face also became disfigured

At the beginning of the book these two men are on a mountain with the sisters daughter (who is a baby at the time) being chased by some of the queens special priests . The two men confer and one takes off with the baby while the other stays behind to slow the priests down . explosions ensue and the story fast forwards to when the Daughter who is living under an assumed name is an young adult.

Also later on in the book the queen sends one of her sons who she doesn't like very much to conquer this port city. When the son gets there he has no trouble taking over the city and many weeks go by and he slowly notices that something is going wrong. It turns out that the people are poisoning all of his troops and will soon kill them all . So on the advice of one of the Special priests they board their ships and try to escape but get intercepted by enemy ships and get destroyed but as the enemy is boarding the queens sons ship the priest turns into a giant bird and carries the him to safety.



I hope this is enough to help someone think of the name . Its amazing I remember all this but cannot think of one name lol I tried googling it with this information and got the strangest answers : )

How many years ago did you read this book?

Was the queen wanting to kill the girl?
Is there any romance (like do the son & girl meet or anything)?

I read they book only like 2 years ago but not sure when it was made , I dont want to throw anyone off by what year it was made but I dont imagine it was earlier than 2000 and possibly later

At the beginning of the book thats the impression you get but by the end I wasnt so sure

There is some romance towards the end the girl and her 2 companions which are a father and daughter both who are wizards something happens to him and he turns into a crow and losses his power so he is stuck that way. Anyway they get separated from the girl and that disfigured priest captures her and begins the journey to bring her to the queen. At first she hates him of course but at some point she starts to fall in love with him.

i also think its a 3 book series but could be more.
