forever logan and jess. i hate dean. he broke up with her and yelled at her for not saying i love you back, yelled at her for jess and paris being there that night when she wanted to be alone while her mom was gone. i also just hate rory gilmore because in all reality, she treated dean like crap and cheated on him with jess, cheated on logan by kissing jess, had an affair with dean while he was married, and in the revival is having another affair with logan who is engaged while she is in a relationship with paul who she also treats like crap. logan and jess were so great and called her out on her shit which i loved. yes jess broke her heart but he was young and actually hate character development unlike rory gilmore who never changed!

I loved Logan at the start. Each one of her boyfriends was a mirror to who she at different times in the story. Rory had a crush on Dean when she was still at Stars Hallow High School. It was juvenile and sweet. The only problem is that these two were not on the same page on so many things. Dean being mad at Rory for not saying I love you was so stupid on his part. Rory being jealous of Jess at the dance was just messed up. It Rory would have done it privately, maybe the next day, it would’ve been so much more mature of her. The cheating in season 4 makes me so unbelievably angry. I hate them both, it’s not ok.
I really wanted to love Jess. Again this is a different time in rorys life. At chilton she is challenging herself with school work and Jess is on the same playing field or an even higher one then her when it comes to intelligence. My one problem with Jess is that he uses this idea of ‘I’m mean to everyone BUT you’ to show that he really cares about Rory. No, that’s not ok. He delivers some hilarious lines in comebacks but there are a few times of he’s just being mean and it’s not ok. In all honesty I think Jess and Rory would’ve been perfect for eachother when they meet when Rorys at Yale and Jess is in Philadelphia. They’re much more mature and have a really deep respect for eachother.
Logan. Oh boy. I wanted to love Logan so much. I thought he was going to be a combination of Dean and Jess and also bring the Yale spirit. And at first I thought he was that. The rebellion of Jess, the loyalty of Dean.
I really liked it at first because Rory finally seemed comfortable in a relationship. The pressure of high society felt a little shoe horned in, but after rewatching the series, it definitely seems inevitable from Richard and Emily’s perspective. I thought they truly cared about eachother. Until they didn’t. The breakup - cheating miscommunication was just upsetting. Their tension is a bright red flag of you’re done.
You know what, never mind, after three guys Rory just needs to learn how to break up with people.

i personally don’t like logan bc he gives off a very arrogant and privileged pompous attitude, he also was a rly bad influence on rory like she dropped out of yale and stole a yacht????! i turkey believe her and jess are soulmates but not all soulmates are meant to be together and obviously with lorelai and like together it kind of makes rory and jess cousins in a weird way. dean was also really nice in the beginning i would have def thought he was a good choose for rory until he cheated on lindsay.

In the final seasons, I changed my mind saying Logan is the one for Rory (still team Jess for me tho lol)

A bit late to it… Dean was the perfect first boyfriend but too controlling for it to last and no thrill. Jess was the bit of excitement Rory was lacking with Dean. Then Logan was something new to her but not ready to settle, in the end Jess was mature enough for her but the timing was never right.

logan 100% jess literally tried to rape her and their whole relationship consisted of snogging and arguing and dean was dean he was a good first boyfriend but not more than that, but i do believe that dean always loved her even when he was with lindsay and you can see that when he’s drunk on his stag night and says rory’s name over and over again and then says ‘why did she leave me?’

was he perfect? absolutely not. but he cared about rory and did his best to be there for her. yeah he pretty much abandoned her when she graduated high school and i admit that was really sh***y of him to do but he owns up to his mistakes which is more than you can say about dean or even logan (although logan is a close second imo). and when he found out that rory dropped out of yale he had a whole talk about it with her and did everything he could to convince her to go back because he knows her and knows where she thrives which is school.
