Lauren So I finally got a new library card and rented "Gone Girl" (very exicted to read) but when I hooked up my Nook I can't transfer the book from my Adobe Digital Editions to my nook because it says I cannot copy the book? I thought that was the point of lending from the library. I don't want to read it on my computer.

Can anyone help me out? I'd really appreciate it I've been waiting for this book!

Ok, I'm really bad at this tech stuff but I'll try to explain how I do it. If you plug your Nook into the computer first, then open up Adobe D. E. on the left side you should see the word Nook. If its the first time, it may ask you to authorize the Nook or something like that. Anyway, once you see it there, have A.D.E. in library view, then simply drag the book you want over to the word Nook. Does this make sense? If not, let me know. Hope I helped. :)

Susan (susanconder) Does you library have a good support team that can help? I had a problem the first time I tried to use the Nook for a library book, and the library tech support guided me through it. It was all done online through email and it was very helpful.

Lauren I actually just found out what I did wrong. To use Adobe Digital Editions you have to authorize it. I did not have an ID and thought I had to pay so I skipped a step and authorized without an Adobe ID. This prevented me from using books between devices (i.e. my computer and my nook). Sadly I rented Gone Girl before and will have to wait to rent it again but I'm onto Monument Men now :)

Lauren, you can probably delete it from A.D.E., then redownload it. While you have a book rented, you can download it as many times as you want. Give it a try anyway. Do you know how to delete the book from A.D.E.?

Carol [Goodreads Addict] I was really lucky to have my son home when I first got my Nook and he helped me figure it out, techy guru that he is! I also have found that you can get easy instructions to just about anything on youtube. For someone like me that needs visuals, it really has helped me out. lol

Robin Pauley | 1 comments I downloaded the Overdrive app right onto my nook, so when I get a notification from the library that my hold is available, I get on the web on my nook and download it right onto overdrive without using Adobe. Does that make sense?
