"but we've got your back. well, most of the time." Trula said to Akira.

"Where were you when I was getting beaten senseless by the guy I thought was my friend?"
"i said most of the time." Trula sighed, "work's a bitch sometimes."
"get a job and then tell me about it." Trula said as she chuckled, her chuckle was on the border line of a giggle and a cough.
"no, i'm never okay." Trula told Akira.
"most people say that;s what i sound like when i laugh so i rarely do it." Trula told Akira.
"...oh" he sighed softly. "Sorry if I offended you"
"Don't worry, you didn't know." Trula told Akira with a reassuring smile.
He nodded, offering her a small smile. She was nice enough, in almost a motherly or older sibling sort of way, a way he found rather comforting.
"You weren't comforted before you came here, were you?" Trula asked Akira out of sympathy.
He slowly shook his head, watching her.
"That must have been a rough growing up then, I promise I'll help you gain the lost experiences of enjoying your child hood." Trula promised to Akira, sometimes Trula felt like she was the mother of an orphanage.
Akira shook his head. "N-No it's fine" he stammered softly, averting his gaze.
"So you don't want cake for your birthdays?" Trula asked.
He blinked in surprise, gazing up at her. "My...birthday?" He stared at her. He hadn't had that mentioned since he was human. He'd always been told he was a waste of space, and was often beaten instead of treated in a celebratory manner on his birthday. The word was triggering, though he hadn't realized, and tears welled up in his eyes.
"oh, i'm sorry. you missed out on something as simple as a birthday." Trula said apologetically. "how about you help me make some cake then?" Trula asked as she offered her hand to him with a smile.(ttyl)
Akira stared at the nice woman, having a hard time trusting her. Slowly he reached out and took her hand.
"Okay, now let's go to the kitchen." Trula said as she began to gently guide Akira through the hallway.
Akira followed her like a child. "He has a kitchen?"
"He doesn't use it though, I'm usually doing all the cooking." Trula confessed as they entered a white tiled kitchen.
"Huh" he murmured softly, gazing around
"Is there something else you want while I make the cake?" Trula asked Akira kindly.
"Do you have some chocolate I can snack on perchance?" he murmured softly. He always had a sweet spot with chocolate.
"Third shelf on the right of the pantry." Trula said as she gestured to the pantry, "we have white, light, mint, peppermint, dairy, dark, bubbly, top deck, mixtures and many other types so take your pick. Only take six though, don't want a tummy ache now do we?" Trula asked with a smile and closed eyes in that motherly fashion.
((Sorry for my absence we had a really bad storm...)) Akira nodded, grabbing some chocolate and sitting on the floor, munching on it happily.
"I'm going to guess you want a chocolate cake?" Trula asked as she got the equipment out.
Trula smiled as she pulled out a couple eggs and tossed them so they hit the edge of the mixing bowl and flipped over it as the yolk went into the bowl and the egg shells landed in a bin on the other side. Trula had lot's of practice in this kitchen and had the ingredients going in and out of her grasp as she swiftly made the cake without making any mess.
He watched wide eyed. "Woah..." He whispered softly ((I might poof tornado waning))
(be safe, Loki only just got back. I would be a shame if Akira disappeared.)Trula finished making the cake mix and placed it in the oven as she put the heat on conventional and at 180{degrees Celsius} then put the timer on. "there, the cake is now baking. time for the icing." Trula said as she turned to Akira, "chocolate again I presume?"
He nodded, watching her cook, his stomach rumbling. He moved closer to her. ((Jesus Christ way to presume my death))
(*smirks*)"what flavour?" Trula asked as she looked into the pantry.
"type? do you want light, dark, mint, dairy...." Trula listed the different kinds of chocolate.
"Dark" he nodded, grinning devilishly as he sat on the counter, crossing his legs.
"dark it is." Trula said as she brought out the dark icing mix and began to make the icing with the same skill she made the cake mix.
He smiled brightly, gazing at her mix, and stealing a bit of it.
"Hey, you can lick the spoon later but don't steal anymore." Trula said as she picked up the bowl and stirred
He grumbled, scoffing as she scolded him.
"there." Trula said as she finished stirring and handed Akira the spoon tip coated in dark chocolate icing.
Akira purred, taking it and licking it happily.
"people say you're a stray dog but you sound and act more like a cat to me." Trula commented as she put glad wrap on the top of the bowl to stop the air from ruining the icing before it went onto the cake.
Akira blinked, gazing at her. "...a stray dog?" he murmured softly, tilting hsi head slightly to the side.
"But that was before you came here." Trula said with a smile.
"Cats are cute and loveable, do you not like that?" Trula asked, worried that she might have hurt his feelings.
