"Think the monster or one like it will come back?" She asked, handing him the food and leaning against the wall, ignoring the 'love' comment this time.

Jame laughed softly. "Almost undoubtedly. But we'll be ready for it next time." He took a bite out of the bread, taking another swig of rum.
"How?" She asked him. "Do you really think the same trick will work on it twice? Or what if there's more than one?"
Jame shrugged. He wasn't really worried. He never was. He always seemed to figure something out. "I guess we'll find out when it attacks us darling." He smiled up at her as he slowly finished his bread and kept drinking from the bottle of rum.
She shook her head, she was more of the kind of person who liked having a plan. She didn't get the captain, wondering if one of the men had suggested it if he would have taken them seriously? Because it sure seemed like he wasn't with her.
Jame looked up at her. "You know, you could go work in the kitchen if you want. The cook could probably use the help." He offered, watching her. "The job is probably the safest regarding your.... situation." He pointed out. He was just trying to be polite.
Her eyes narrowed at that, Adella stalking closer to where he was, obviously starting to get a bit pissed off. "I'm not going to go hide in the kitchens! I knew it was going to be dangerous when I signed up for this. You had said before when you found out that you were going to treat me like a normal member of the crew, and I'm starting to get really annoyed with you trying to treat me differently. I might not know how to fight as well as some of the others but I can learn. No one forced me to come here. It was my own choice and I'm not going to go and hide away from all the danger."
Jame laughed softly. "I'm not treating you any differently." he shook his head slowly. "If there was a weakling boy on my ship, who had just gotten lashed, I would offer him the same thing." He grinned and looked out the window at the rolling sea. "But if you don't want to take my offer just because you want to prove yourself, go ahead darling. But don't come crying to me when the crew decides to do what they want with you. Your secret wont stay a secret forever. I hope you know that." He pointed out, taking a long swig of rum.
She did know that, but was planning on keeping it one for as long as she could she glared at him once more before turning and leaving without saying a word. He was so infuriating! She really wished that he didn't know her secret. Maybe then he would just treat her like a normal member o the crew, because despite what he said, he was treating her differently. His offer proved that in her mind at least. Well she'd prove him wrong...
Jame couldn't hold back a chuckle. That girl sure got offended easily. He found it amusing when she was mad though, and frankly, he got a good laugh out of seeing her that way. He had only been trying to help, and he would never treat her differently, but if she wanted to be stubborn, he wouldn't care one bit. No, he, a pirate captain, never cared for anyone...
((It would be a good time for the crew to find out, just because she said she didn't need his help, and so it would be ironic. But it really is up to you, don't know if you want to force that on her yet... XP))
((She tries to prove herself and work just as hard as everybody else, but she is not strong enough or something like that and she slips up, somehow causing the others to find out about her.))
((I was thinking it shouldn't be for awhile though, like she does keep her secret for awhile. Maybe after she's gained more respect from the other crew members or something they find out? Idk...))
((Sure, and sure.))Jame scanned the seas. It had been a fairly easy two months. No storms or sea monsters. All the ports they had stopped in were friendly and reputable, giving them a nice break to re-stock and continue. However, they had reached open waters, and would not port again until they reached their destination. The wind was blowing lazily through his short hair, and Jame lifted up one hand from the wheel to tug on his earring a little. The crew had settled in just fine, and Adella was holding up well without his help. He smiled smugly, wondering how long that would last.
((So what if for how they all find out there's another battle or something, either other pirates or a sea monster and both her and the captain along with others in the crew are pretty injured. Maybe she's unconscious after it too or something so she doesn't know that her secret is about to come out. They have a ship's doctor now who is patching everyone up after the fight and....yeah))
((hmmm. pirates I guess? So that the people are injured, but the ship still is ok, so that they can continue?))
((Okay :D))Adella was taking a turn up in the crow's next and she had to say that she liked it up there, it was just relaxing in her mind so she volunteered for duty up there whenever she could. Now though as she scanned over the waves she saw something that she knew probably meant trouble. "ship ahoy!" She called down the crew below, approaching from starboard!" It was still a bit of a ways away and she squinted seeing if she could pick up any details.
Jame stiffened and grew alert. A ship? Out in open water? It had to be pirates. Imperial ships never came this far. Jame turned the wheel and changed the heading to directly away from the ship. He was going to try and outrun them before he accepted that there would be a fight. "Loosen the mainsail! All hands on deck! We have to outrun the ship!"
Adella wasn't sure whether he wanted her on deck as well or if she should stay up there and keep an eye on the ship, see if it was catching up to them, for the moment she decided to stay there until told differently.
((all hands on deck doesn't actually mean "on the deck" it just means that all the people who are on rotation (sleeping and whatnot) should come up and help out, so she's fine where she is :) ))The crew was immediately busy, swarming the ship to try and get every ounce of speed out of her. Jame kept a firm grip in the wheel, scanning behind them at the advancing ship every couple of seconds. It was closer, and gaining slowly.
((Yeah I know, Adella just didn't know what to do ;) ))She kept an eye on where the ship was, everynow and then glancing back down at what the crew was doing. "It's gaining on us." She shouted down to them, her grip tightening on a rail. They hadn't run into another ship like this since her first week on the ship, months ago now.
((lol just making sure :) ))Jame nodded, he knew. They weren't going to escape this one. His ship was fast, but she was obviously not fast enough. It was time to send out orders. "Man the cannons! Arm yourselves! Prepare for attack!" He handed the wheel over to Denver and went down into his room to make sure... it... was safe.
She came down from the crow's nest, grabbing the sword that she had used during the last attack and had gotten better at using over the past couple months, practicing with some of the crew. After getting it she went to help get the cannons ready, her heart pounding in anticipation.
The ship drew along side theirs, and shouts could be heard as the pirates got ready to attack. "Prepare to be boarded!"Jame, after finding the key still safe in its hiding spot, drew his sword and walked out on deck, tense and ready for the battle to follow.
As soon as the pirates from the other ship began pouring on Adella started to fight back. They seemed to be out numbered but that wasn't going to stop her from trying here. She had to protect the ship....
Jame leaped into the fray, slashing left and right. His crew members were practically drowning in the pirates. He was more than outnumbered, this was not even a battle. This was... this was hopeless. Jame kept fighting none the less. He was determined to go down with his ship. When one pirate scored a hit on his shoulder, cutting deep into his flesh, he was stunned long enough for another one to hit him over the head and his world went dark.
Adella was fighting as good as she could, A strike got through her defenses though and she felt a blade bite into her side, she stumbled for a moment, but tried to keep fighting, her blows slower now as it had been a deep cut. She fought for a little longer, trying to ignore the pain at first before another blow landed, knocking her to the deck of the ship and out cold.
Jame woke slowly, blinking to clear his vision. He moaned softly and looked around. His crew was lying all over the deck. His shoulder had been bound, he assumed by the doctor who was moving too and fro. He sat up slowly and looked around. There would be many dead, and there was no where for him to get new men from. He sighed softly.
Adella was still laying unconscious where she had fallen, even after being knocked out she had lost a lot of blood from the gash in her side, her hand was still gripped around her sword though.
Jame got up slowly, looking around. He heard a sharp gasp and turned to see some of the survivors muttering among themselves and pointing. Jame turned to see what they were pointing at and he frowned a little, not understanding. The doctor was working on someone, Adella, and he had just bent down and lifted up her.... Jame's eyes widened and he cursed loudly. He almost went over there to drag her to safety, but he didn't. He had said he wouldn't treat her differently. Besides, if the crew found out that he knew about her, he would lose their trust. So instead, he forced himself to look away and walk to his cabin. Whether the crew used her or killed her, that wasn't his problem.
((on app and only on for a sec so short post.)) Adella was slowly starting to wake up, at first not understanding what was happening around her, still out of it. It took a few moments to click but when ir did she started to panic, quickly sitting up which just made her side flare up in pain again. Nononono... .she did't saw anything, eyes wide as she looked at the faces around her.
((ok. could you play some of the crew members as well?))Jame walked into his cabin and shut the door, plopping down onto his bed and picking up a bottle on the nightstand. He started to twist it open, but then decided against it and put it back down.
The crew that had survived was starting to move towards her. "It's a girl!" Sam exclaimed.
Denver nodded, moving forwards with a low chuckle. "Yes, it appears it is." he grinned. "Lets have some fun with her before we throw her overboard."
The other men laughed in amusement, their eyes lit with a greedy hunger.
((once I get back on computer sure))Even though ot hurt to even move she managed to get to her feet, still gripping the sword tightly. "If any if you lay a hand on me I'll chop it off." She threatened, freaking out inside. There was no way to get of this was there.....the only thing keeping her even standing right now was her fear, the adrenaline pumping through her veins.
((Ok. Sounds good.))Denver kept moving forwards. "Don't be afraid honey." He crooned.
Crew members were moving in from all sides now, closing her into a ring of people. There was no where for her to go. Sam lashed out suddenly, gripping her sword arm, hard. He pried the sword from her hands and threw it away, smiling at her.
Denver reached out and grabbed her other arm, holding her still. He started to reach out to her.
When Sam lashed out at her she had tried to swing at him but with the gash in her side she was slowed down, cursing as her sword was flung away, struggling as they grabbed her. Other men in the crew were also reaching for her and she was trying to get away from them, kicking out, flailing her arms...anything. The wound in her side had reopened up from all the movement but she barely noticed it.
Denver touched her and began running his hands over, as did many of the other crew members. A couple tried to get close enough to kiss her, but they were shoved off by others. The men started teasing and taunting her, making crude remarks. A couple started pulling at her clothes.
Jame sat at his desk, hearing the shouts and cheers of the men outside. He could only guess what was going on. He tried to ignore it. She doesn't want my help. He reminded himself, frowning a little. Besides, no one was screaming yet.
"Let go of me!" She was shouting, but it was hard to hear over the crew. she was shoving a few of the ones who got close to her away but there were a lot of them and only one of here. and she was injured which didn't help her at all. "You know me! I've been sailing and fighting along side of you for months now!" She reminded them, still struggling to get away, panicking as it was getting harder and harder. "I;m the one that figured out what to do about the sea monster! Remember!?"
Denver laughed softly. "No you're not. That was a boy we knew once." He told her, smiling. Sam nodded. "That boy is no longer with is. But you are sweetheart."
The group of men laughed and nodded in approval. Two of them reached down and grabbed her ankles, lifting her up so that each of her limbs were held. Then they closed in.
She kept trying to kick them away, her panic increasing. "Let me go!" She kept shouting, knowing it wouldn't make a difference, no one would help her anyway.... She was doomed.
Jame wrapped his hands around his ears, trying to ignore the noise. He was trying to convince himself that she deserved it. That she wanted to do things on her own, so she could get out of the situation on her own. He growled in anger, not able to ignore it. Storming out of his cabin he moved right through the crowd and grabbed Adella by her collar, dragging her all the way back into his cabin. "She's mine! I'll deal with her myself." He shouted at the crew, slamming the door. Denver growled angrily, not happy at being interrupted from his fun.
