Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((What are some of the ones you have?))

"Guess we'll find out. Where is the final treasure supposed to be hidden?" She leaned against the railing as well, looking over at him. Now that he was actually talking about it she was going to get as much information as she could about it. How long had she even been at sea now? They'd been hunting down these keys for ages.

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((Usual stuff. Elixir of life, wish granting bottle, fairy dust, portals, enchanted gold… etc))

Jame smiled then. Where was the treasure hidden? Well this would be lovely. Might as well let her know where they were headed. "The floating forests." he said easily. Storms surrounded the waters that the forest grew in. It wasn't actually floating, the tress just grew in the water, so you could sail around them. Once you got past the storms that is… and everyone knew that that forest was haunted. People rarely came back from there. And the ones that did, had horrible hallucinations.

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((I vote portals. Can let us do a lot more interesting things.))

Her eyes widened a bit at that and she gave him a look of disbelief. "The floating forests? I thought they were just a myth?" She should have learned that lesson by now. There were many things that she'd come across since signing on that she had always thought were just myths. There was some truth behind every story it seemed. "How are we supposed to get through it?"

Jame's smile was knowing, and soft as he surveyed her look of disbelief and surprise. He had been expecting that sort of reaction. No one ever decided to go into the floating forests by choice. It was always that someone got sucked into them, and only one man survived out of a whole crew of sailors. Jame shrugged. "Well… for one. We are the only ones who actually have a map of the forest." he said, his smile widening just a bit.

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She raised an eyebrow at that. "You have a map?" Again she was surprised. But she should have known Jame well enough by now to always expect the unexpected with him. "So after we find the last key to the floating forests it is." Hopefully this last key wouldn't evade them too much longer. She was definitely getting more curious about the treasure.

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Jame chuckled good-naturedly then. "Yes. I have a map. The map, really, as it is the only one ever made. Let's just hope the fool who was mapping while they were in the forests instead of protecting the ship actually knew what they were doing." He said, grinning softly. His hands wandered to the keys around his neck in habit and he swallowed, sighing softly. Eventually he'd have to tell her. Eventually she'd want to know what the treasure was. But he wasn't sure he wanted her to know…

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She shook her head. "Well if he made it out alive he had to be doing something right." It still seemed strange to think that this was more than just a story. What kind of treasure would be stored there? she couldn't even imagine it. "So once we get the last key, if it is where you suspect it might be, how long will it take us to get to the Floating Forests?"
